While not the most attractive picture of my grandparents, this one makes me laugh. I organically found myself from one relationship into another, yet, I was very much on my own.
They drove what little belongings I had across the country and helped me move into my first apartment in Washington, DC. The city was booked and I had to put them up in a little motel in Falls Church, VA. When I went to pick them up they both happily chose the back seat, and me, to be their chauffeur. I giggled and was just so happy to have them with me. If you asked my grandpa, my car was more comfortable than their Camry. I love him and I miss them. #tryingnottobeafuckup by @peppajack_schugg

I was watching the Paul Reubens documentary on HBO and it took me back to a time after Joey and I had long broken up…. We embraced a friendship based on going out and sometimes getting stoned. I vividly remember watching Pee Wee’s Playhouse for hours one night with him. We laughed hard and kept a very care free approach to our relationship.
For whatever reason this photo is always in the back of my mind –it was supposed to be a Christmas card and I still find it funny. Always thinking of you, my dear friend. by @peppajack_schugg
