The Pepperoni Zone is making a FEATURE FILM! But we need YOUR HELP to fund it! Go to the link in our bio if you want to pitch in!

Our movie is about two ritual magicians living in Bushwick—Enoch and Metatron—and their adventure as they screw up a magic ceremony designed to bring in a new age of peace and prosperity. The ritual is a flop and unleashes a gorilla beast upon Brooklyn instead. It also steals their next-door neighbor Lindsay’s phone, and she has a horrible work-from-home job she needs that phone for! To help Lindsay and unsummon the gorilla, the two magicians enlist the help of the neighborhood demon hunter and an adventure through the world of ritual magic, secret temples, and gorilla-suit-based physical comedy ensues!

The Pepperoni Zone has made hours of short-form sketch comedy for years, but we want to do something bigger, more fun, and more focused, so we wrote a movie, and the movie is very funny and legitimately pretty earnest and nice. But it’ll also be way more expensive than a normal Pepperoni Zone shoot. We need props, costumes, better equipment than we currently have (we’ve almost exclusively filmed on an iPhone), and we’d like to pay and feed whoever will help us with our shoot, so we want your help!

Make no mistake, as far as a movie goes this is pretty cheap. $5000 is well below the average micro-budget movie, but if you know the Pepperoni Zone, you know that will be enough to get this thing soaring. We’ll incorporate our trademark green screen effects and keyframe animation whenever it’s appropriate, but we also want to have good costumes, interesting props, and a few REALLY FUN practical effects that can’t be done for free.

So if you want to help make The Mystery of Ragu a reality, please donate whatever you’d like, but if you donate over $30, we’ll make you a t-shirt and we’ll include you in the credits as a producer. When you donate, let us know your shirt size! #comedy #comedymovie #indiefilm #diyfilm #comedy #gofundme #crowdfund #indiemovie #surreal #surrealcomedy #weirdcomedy #gorilla #gorillasuit #fundraising #brooklyn #brooklyncomedy by @pepperonizone
