And on the 3rd night, we got down and dirty for @russliquid in the @bigfam_bayou 😍💟🎷✨

Fun fact: about 6 months before the @bigfamfest lineup dropped, I said to my friend “where did Russ Liquid go? I miss him, I hope he’s doing okay.. I haven’t seen him on many lineups recently” oh, the serendipity!

Flowing to integrate, not to imitate 🌀🌱

As much as I cherish every opportunity to take a stage, and every time I bend my brain with making shapes, my appreciation for flow at the core is that it serves as a healthy, wholesome, and empowering outlet for emotional expression.

This raw flow was the cap on a 3.5hr long journal journey. My no contact dad recently passed, which brought up complex layers of unresolved emotions around the impact of his early presence and long-term absence in my life.

One cool thing about my dad (and mom) is that I was named after @perryfarrellofficial 🤘🏻

It felt right to step into a moment of release and reaffirmation with a song that has Perry’s vocals. Admittedly, I just found this one, so it wasn’t until I was fully in the moment that I realized how serendipitously the song was landing for what I was moving through. 🌊

This was one of those flows that felt magical, and made the intangible tangible. Especially since a monarch butterfly flew past just as I had closed the journal and decided it was time to pick up a hoop 🧡🖤🧡
