Hey! It’s me. Checking in…. And bragging on my kids. Straight A students and apparently cross country runners. Koda ran 13/14 laps in jog a thon. Luca ran 23 laps in jog a thon and won 5th, 2nd, 11th, and 1st in his x-country meets. Mila ran/walked 17(?) laps at jog a thon and won 5th, 4th, 3rd and 3rd at her x-country meets. Didn’t realize I had runners in my family, yet here we are. Mila has all A’s and 1 B. If the boys had grades it would be all A’s.
Bragging isn’t nice….but it’s my kids so humor me and be proud with me!! We want ALL children to succeed! 💜💜 by @perezchao5coordinator

Can’t leave my boys out for “National Son’s Day” that is arguably an actual recognition. What I do for one, I do for all!
Luca is my rule follower, leader, and pace setter. He is competitive but is also the biggest cheerleader. It doesn’t bother him to lose, but his expectation is to always win and succeed. So, 110% is all he is able to give.
Koda is my sour patch kid through and through. Where he is feisty, he is loyal. If you are his people, he is lethal for you. He follows in Luca’s footsteps. So, he is not willing to give up easy, but he recognizes his own lane and worth.
These boys make me so proud. They are respectful, kind, ambitious, playful, and oh so ornery. I just LOVE them to pieces!! 💜💜 by @perezchao5coordinator

Happy National Daughter Day!!!! 💜
Every girl should be celebrated today! Mila isn’t any different. So, I’ll take second to brag on my girl!
She is sassy and she is fierce‼️ Most of you all only see that side. The side you don’t see? This girls hard work and grit. She doesn’t compare herself to others. She sets her own expectations and surpasses mine. She fights hard for good grades and to be better than she was the day before. Something else you don’t see often? Her heart. She is sassy, fierce, feisty, and funny. She is ALSO caring, loving, genuine, and God fearing. Her heart is AS big as her sass. Her personality can come off as a lot to some but, her heart is louder and my favorite thing about her. She is inclusive. She is your cheerleader. She is thoughtful. She is genuine. She is Mila. For THAT I am forever grateful to God for allowing me to be her momma. 💜 I’m sorry, but I WOULD like to point out…she started the prayer circles before races. THAT’S. MY. Let me tell you about what my 2 best friends did today…

Luca ran his first year of 1 mile long cross country meet. He was the 1st Greenwood boy. He got 5th overall and his favorite part of the day? His time… 7:19. That’s really all he cared about.
That’s one of my favorite things about him. He doesn’t care to win or lose(obvi he would choose winning over losing), but he cares about always improving himself. 🩵

Mila ran her 3rd 1 mile long cross country meet. She was the 2nd Greenwood girl. She was 5th overall. She has a new PR of 6:46…..while battling strep. Like, huh? The girl used to hate running…💜

I’m a competitive mom. Like real competitive. But over anything else, I’m all about character. 2 things my kids did today that stole my heart? They had water bottles for each other at the end of their races. They both cheered just as loud for everyone as they did for each other. 🥰

Well… this girl completed her dance competition season. She ended with a platinum and 2nd place overall. Her solo deserved its own post.
We were in the room getting ready and she says, “it’s worth missing all the fun stuff to commit to something.”
I asked her what she meant by that.
She says, “because it pays off in the end. Mom! I got 2nd place!!! Next year I’ll shoot for 1st!”

Ain’t no family like dance family.
I LOVE to rhinestone. But life lately? It’s been hard. So, naturally, I procrastinated. Instead of them beating me down because I didn’t have it finished, they sat down. Instead of making fun of me because of my type B personality, they listened. Instead of running away, they picked up the glue and rhinestones. I cannot tell you how full my heart is knowing this village has my daughters back as well as mine.
