We’ve had a lovely restock of local, award-winning jam and marmalade — rhubarb, passion fruit, apricot, rhubarb and plum, St Clements, pink grapefruit and lime.
Bright, fruity, properly delicious, and very hard to choose between.

I met a lot of marmalade makers this weekend at the @marmaladeawards and we chatted about all sorts of things; to freeze or not to freeze, juice or slice, PH reading or not, add pectin? (why would you?!) But one thing we all agreed on was that we all hate prepping blooming limes!
Notwithstanding this fact, I have prepped this pink grapefruit & lime marmalade for the customers of @bayon.bakery and @real_patisserie (Western Road)

I’m happy to say the my favourite marmalade has just won its second gold award at @marmaladeawards It’s quite an achievement to win this award against such stiff competition. This year there were over 3400 entries from over 30 different countries, which makes it even more special.
Hands up if you’d like some, but be quick as this combination is truly limited by the seasons taken in Perfectly Preserved by @perfectlypreserved

Sometimes I get asked to make something I’ve never made before and boy am I glad I said yes to this one! This is possibly the nicest use of strawberries I’ve found so far, not too sweet, bursting with flavour and, more importantly, no pips!
Strawberry coulis will soon be available from @berriesontap I will also experiment with other combinations using their wonderful berries. by @perfectlypreserved

A new flavour to add to the @berriesontap family of jams; blueberry finally got its own jar! The berries grown here are incredible; I’ve never seen such huge blackberries!
If you live anywhere in West Sussex, or if you’re passing through the area, you really should visit. The vending machines are open year round and are filled with a variety of local gems. by @perfectlypreserved

That’s me putting my feet up until January. Who am I kidding? Over the last three months I’ve made 1900 jars of preserves and 30kg in tubs and I’d like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support this year.
Whether you buy one jar or order for your shop, every sale is appreciated; now more than ever.

How do you take your coffee? I like mine in a negroni on toast! Back in June, I had an amazing coffee negroni in Malaga and I suddenly had a brilliant idea!
