POSTS STORIES REELS

My “why” is deeply personal. I’ve navigated a range of subclinical conditions for nearly half my life—through competitive academic institutions and a demanding corporate career. My health experiences opened my eyes to how often women’s health concerns are minimized. Unlike pregnancy or postpartum, where there are well-established support systems and educational resources, perimenopause is often invisible. The messaging is essentially, “just get through it,” even though quality of life is significantly impacted during these years.

When women are educated and supported in building strong habits early, they not only prevent many hereditary and lifestyle-related diseases, but also show up more fully for themselves and the people they care for. Peribloom exists to fill that gap because women deserve guidance, clarity, and support in this stage of life, not silence. 🪷

Ambition is beautiful, but if it’s driven by trauma, fear, or the need to prove to others, it may present as success on the surface, while silently taxing the nervous system beneath.

During perimenopause, this hidden cost becomes ever more present.

Perimenopause brings profound hormonal shifts. Are you exhausted, suffering from brain fog, or feeling in overwhelm? What once looked like “high-performing” might be taxing your body emotionally and physically. Cortisol, your stress hormone, can become severely impacted.

Chronic overdrive = elevated cortisol.
Constant push = hormone disruption, sleep issues, inflammation, burnout.

Ambition shouldn’t cost you your health—especially now. You deserve to grow without overriding your well-being.

Expand from wholeness, not wounds.
Thrive from alignment, not adrenaline.

✨ Honor your hormones.
✨ Be intentional with your hustle.
✨ Let your ambition evolve with you, not against you.

You worked hard and built your career. You earned the recognition and became the person everyone could count on. On paper, life looks pretty good.

So why does life feel meh?

Maybe you don’t want your boss’s job. Maybe the goals that once motivated you no longer excite you. Or maybe you’re simply tired of putting your own needs at the bottom of the list.

The tricky part? You’re still ambitious. You’re still capable. You’re just not sure what you’re working toward anymore.

And when you’ve spent decades defining success through achievement, questioning what comes next can feel a lot like failure.

But what if you’ve simply outgrown your old definition of success?

That’s the question we’re solving at Peribloom.

We’re not abandoning ambition or starting over. We’re learning how to reconnect with our body, understanding what matters now, in order to build a life that supports the person you’re becoming.

Success shouldn’t just look good on paper. It should feel good too.

If this resonates, let’s chat.

We spend so much of our lives learning how to achieve.

Set the goal. Do the work. Get the promotion. Move on to the next milestone.

But somewhere along the way, we can become so good at meeting expectations that we stop questioning whether they’re still our own.

The answer isn’t necessarily to slow down or stop striving.

It’s to get clearer on what deserves our time, energy and ambition now.

Because success isn’t just about what you’re capable of achieving. It’s about having the freedom to decide what’s worth pursuing.

That’s what it means to build beyond achievement.

What are you choosing to make more room for in this next chapter? by @peribloom.care

Ladies, your bodies are changing so maybe your dinner should too.

Hot flashes 🔥 Achy joints 🦴 Waking up at 2:30 AM 🕝 Sometimes all three 😩😩😩

Welcome to the less glamorous side of perimenopause. 🫠

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), these symptoms are understood through patterns involving Yin, Yang, Qi and Blood. Modern medicine offers another perspective, including the role of fluctuating estrogen in temperature regulation, joint health and sleep.
As many of you know, I’ve been diving deep into TCM. I put together three Perimenopause Girl Dinners inspired by traditional food principles and modern nutrition, using ingredients you can actually find at your local (aka Western) grocery store. Not all of us have t&t down the block 😭

☄️ Hot Flash Edition: Yin-nourishing ingredients, cooked vegetables and foods traditionally associated with supporting fluids.

💪🏼 Joint Pain Edition: Omega-3-rich salmon, antioxidant-rich berries and fiber-rich whole grains.

🌙 Insomnia Edition: Magnesium-rich seeds and greens, balanced proteins and a caffeine-free evening tea.

Sorry, dinner alone won’t fix your hormones. But nourishing foods can be one way to support your body through a changing chapter.

Tell me which you’re trying first.

Last night with @suzywelch we explored: what do we actually value?

If you were asked to name your values, would you say honesty? Integrity? Kindness?

Suzy makes an important distinction: those are virtues.

Values are more personal. They’re the wants, needs and motivations that drive our choices.

Achievement. Freedom. Family. Wealth. Adventure. Service. Security. Influence. Creativity.

The goal isn’t to choose the values that sound best. It’s to get honest about which ones are actually yours.

Suzy’s Becoming You work asks how those values align with your aptitudes and economically viable interests, while keeping your virtues intact.

This is interesting.

We can become exceptionally good at building a life around what we’re good at, without asking whether it still reflects what we value.

The job can still be good.
The life can still look successful.
You can still be ambitious.

It just doesn’t have the same spark it did 20 years ago.

This is a big part of what we explore @peribloom.care not just what are you good at, but what matters to you now?

Because the values that drove you at 25 don’t have to drive you at 45.

What matters now that didn’t before? by @peribloom.care

“I can handle it.”

Three words that have probably defined much of your adult life.

You became the person everyone could count on. The one who figures things out, holds it together, and somehow always finds a way.

And because you’re so good at it, nobody thinks to ask how much it’s costing you.

Including yourself.

Survival mode doesn’t always look like falling apart. Sometimes it looks like being incredibly capable.

But just because you can handle it doesn’t mean you should have to.

At what point did being capable become more important than being happy?

You got really good at showing up for everyone else. And putting yourself last.

Your health. Your energy. The things that made you feel alive.

From the outside, your life still looks like an A.

But to you? It's beginning to feel like a B+.

Stepping back feels like falling behind. Doing less feels like failing. Putting yourself first feels selfish.

You've spent your whole life learning how to achieve more and no one taught you how to want differently.

You don't have to abandon the life you've built, but you can stop being the last person who benefits from all your hard work.

Because a life that is an A for everyone else shouldn't feel like a B+ to the person living it.

We’re taught to set goals, make plans and keep moving forward. Rarely are we encouraged to ask whether the things we’re pursuing still feel meaningful.

Maybe the next chapter isn’t about doing less or achieving more.

Maybe it’s about getting better at recognizing what matters to you now, and giving yourself permission to pursue it.

Because knowing what you’re capable of is different from knowing what you want.

What are you making room for in this next chapter?

If I could sit across from myself ten years ago, I would tell her: you're not too much. You're not doing it wrong. But you're carrying more than you were ever meant to carry alone.

These are the 5 ambition patterns I see in almost every high-performing woman I work with — including my past self:

1. The Proving
2. The Overgiving
3. The Overriding
4. The Earning
5. The Adrenaline

None of them are character flaws. They were the survival strategies that got you here.

But perimenopause changes the terms. What once looked like "high-performing" starts taxing your body emotionally and physically — affecting your sleep, your hormones, and your nervous system.

The goal is not to kill your ambition. It's to get clear on your values, so your ambition finally belongs to you.

Which pattern hits home? Drop the number below. 👇

Are you experiencing brain fog? Or just thirst? 🧠💧

If you’ve been feeling forgetful, foggy, or your focus keeps wandering off midday, it might not be burnout or hormones alone.

Sometimes, your brain just needs a drink.

Dehydration is a sneaky (and surprisingly common) cause of mental fatigue — especially in midlife, when fluid balance gets trickier and thirst cues become less reliable.

Check out our latest article where we dive into how hydration affects your brain, mood, and clarity, and how a few small tweaks can help you think (and feel) a whole lot better. You know where to look [LINK IN BIO] ☝🏼

✨ Less fog. More focus. Let’s start with water.

5 Q’s TO ASK YOUR MOM TO DIAL INTO YOUR PERIMENOPAUSE JOURNEY

1. Menopause timing
👉 “What age did you go through menopause (12 months without a period)?”
Why: menopause age is partly genetic and can influence risk for brain and heart health.

2. Thyroid function
👉 “Have you or dad ever been diagnosed with thyroid issues like Hashimoto’s or Graves’ disease?”
Why: Thyroid disorders are more common in women and often overlap with perimenopause symptoms such as fatigue, weight change, mood.

3. Cardiovascular health
👉 “Do you or dad have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or a history of heart disease?”
Why: Cardiovascular health becomes the #1 risk for women post-menopause.

4. Metabolic health
👉 “Do you or dad have a history of blood sugar issues, like prediabetes or diabetes (A1c levels)?”
Why: insulin resistance is largely hereditary and blood sugar regulation is key for longevity, cognition, and cardiovascular risk.

5. Bone health
👉 “Have you or dad ever been told you have osteopenia or osteoporosis?”
Why: Estrogen decline accelerates bone loss, and family history is a major risk factor.

📝A lot of health issues in midlife are hereditary but with lifestyle, supplementation, and nutrition changes, you can take preventative measures to improve your health for longevity. Compare your notes with siblings and direct cousins.
