So, that went well! Fantastic day at Haxby Craft Market. Good sales, great feedback, and lovely people on both sides of the stalls.

Thank you to all of you, both IRL and on SM, for your support, encouragement, tips, and general loveliness - it has meant so much. And thank you Rachel at @brambleberrymarkets for making me so welcome. I look forward to being back next year.

Roll on @york.makers on November 28th! Best get binding 😊 by @perimadeit

Only one more sleep - tomorrow's the day! I have had such lovely support for this return to the world of craft markets, both IRL and on SM. Thank you all who have taken time to engage.

It doesn't look like much when they're piled up like this, but, believe it or not, there are actually 89 books here, ranging from 10cm square notebooks to a 26 x 30cm album.

Just got to work out how best to display them now 🤔 I have a few options, so potential set ups will be next.

Overthinker, me? Don't know what you mean 😂

This will be joining my craft market stock on Saturday 19 September at Haxby Memorial Hall in York.

Post-bound photograph album covered with beautiful hand-marbled paper by @jemmalewismarbling and black velvet finish bookcloth. Inside are 20 black archival pages with hand-cut glassine page protectors.

Out of the press and winging its way to Saturday's craft market is this Deco-inspired sketchbook. Filled with Fabriano Artistico 300gsm watercolour paper, it opens completely flat for ease of use.

Not long to go - looking forward to my first craft fair with @brambleberrymarkets in Haxby. Perhaps I'll see you there?

A few more out of the press this morning. I think some more sketch books are needed and then I might be ready for the first market. by @perimadeit

Getting ready for @brambleberrymarkets craft market in Haxby on 19 September 🙂 I've been tinkering with ways to display individual prices and have come up with these little corner tags. I like the neatness of them and, of course, they don't obscure the book cover like, say, a belly band would. Next job is actually working out some prices - the hardest job of all. by @perimadeit

Just look at those lovely polkadots! Looking forward to finishing this little book. There will be a pink version, too, in due course, and perhaps a floral one 😃 by @perimadeit

Mindful that there are only a few weeks until my first makers market, thought I should try to come back from my recent health flare and get some books made - first 3 blocks are drying on the windowsill, all materials chosen, ready for forwarding tomorrow. The more 'designed' ones either will or will not be ready - can't stress about those just now. by @perimadeit

Since my recent post. I've been working on the metal inlays for the book cover and it's coming along. It's the next stage where it could all go wrong, so I'm taking my time, which, translated, means "I'm looking at it a lot and trying not to panic!" Crappy photo, as always, but you'll see where I'm headed. by @perimadeit

The first picture is a section of beautiful marbled paper by the very talented @jemmalewismarbling. The second is the case for the leather binding, which will have pewter, copper and brass inlays to echo the interesting waves, spots and blooms of the metallic inks. That's the plan - pop back in a few days to see the finished book. by @perimadeit
