My first commission in this style. It's literally for my sister but we're making it v official. We agreed on a design & I started working on it. I encountered a lil mistake & used it as an opportunity to go a completely different direction with it. This will be the first time she sees this.
She hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc this summer & I thought that was an excellent use of her life & reflected this quote well. I hope she doesn't hate it. lol by @periodicallyalejandra

A week ago today I had to say goodbye to my little buddy, Yoda. I remember the day we adopted him, I named him Yoda because his eyes were Yoda green. I thought it was only fitting to make a little memorial piece for him. He was a good boy. by @periodicallyalejandra

My favorite part of creating is the hours of ideation, followed by the process of actually making it, all the steps and stages. Then completing it, saying “cute” & putting away & moving on to another idea. by @periodicallyalejandra

Trying something different. I’m very happy with this. It feels like me (it is a self portrait but that’s beside the point). I went into the idea a bit ambitious & I learned a lot I will do differently & still have other things left to learn but I think I’m officially abandoning (fully) digital art.
I’ll share more on the process eventually but lemme keep playing around. Ya girl’s back back. by @periodicallyalejandra

The concept is the idea that shadows are a projection of yourself but your shadows don’t know shit. They’re empty & void of life. There’s something symbolic & poetic there that I’ve been trying to connect in my brain. It’s on the tip of my tongue. I’ll get it soon & write a shitty poem about it to go along with this. Or another one. by @periodicallyalejandra
