Wrapping Up Summer According to the calendar, we’re just about through the summer season, which means I’m moving onto all things fall! I’m ready to dive into some cozy fall books this week 🧡 Summer reading was tough for me. I didn’t get through too many books, but thought I’d share what I was able to read in July and August… ☀️Poems and Prayers ☀️Left of Forever @authortarahdewitt ☀️Into a Golden Era @gabrielle_meyer ☀️Summer People @brittaneenicolewrites @jennibarabooks ☀️The Paradise Problem @christinalauren ☀️Emma M. Lion volume 4 @bethbrower ☀️Next of Kin @authorhannahby ☀️Great Big Beautiful Life @emilyhenrywrites ☀️Salt to the Sea @rutasepetysauthor ☀️Out of the Clear Blue Sky @kristan.higgins Q: Did you have a favorite summer read? #summer #summervibes #reading #monday #books by @perkupandread
🤓 Convincing you to read my LAST backlist summer book rec… Book 🔟 by: @elinhilderbrand A romantic story about two people, Mallory and Jake, who fall in love but can only be together for one weekend each summer. Over the course of 28 years, their relationship grows and changes as they experience love, secrets, family, and life’s challenges. The novel explores the idea of true love and how one relationship can shape a person’s entire life. I saved this one for last because it’s one of my top summer reads of all time. Plus, it takes place over multiple Labor Day weekends, which is perfect timing! I only wish I had a house by the ocean, so I could take the perfect picture 🤩 💬: Happy Labor Day weekend! Are you filling up your weekend with all kinds of activities or taking advantage of some serious rest and relaxation? #labordayweekend #summer #weekend #weekendvibes #saturday by @perkupandread
🤓 Convincing you to read my backlist summer book recs, one book at a time… Book 9️⃣ by: Abby Jimenez A sweet and emotional romance about Justin and Emma, two people who meet through a strange dating curse. They decide to date each other for the summer, expecting it to be just for fun. But as they get closer, things become more complicated, and they start to wonder if their summer fling could turn into something real. If you’re still experiencing summer temps and trying to squeeze in anymore summer reading, this is a great choice! Q: Summer reading still or have you switched into fall mode? #summer #summerreads #thursday #summervibes #read by @perkupandread

🤓 Convincing you to read my backlist summer book recs, one book at a time… Book 8️⃣: Malibu Rising by @tjenkinsreid A family drama set in Malibu in 1983. The story follows the four famous Riva siblings as they prepare for their annual end-of-summer party. As the night unfolds, old family secrets, complicated relationships, and long-held emotions begin to surface. It’s a story about family, love, fame, and learning to let go of the past. I know we’re nearing the end of summer, but this one is a great end of summer read, and technically we still have a few weeks of summer left on the calendar ☺️ Q: Do you have a favorite TJR book? Do you read more or less during summer? #summer #summervibes #sunday #books #booksta by @perkupandread
🤓 Convincing you to read my backlist summer book recs, one book at a time… Book 7️⃣: Savor It by @authortarahdewitt A heartwarming small-town romance about a chef looking for a fresh start who finds unexpected love along the way. Full of humor, heartfelt moments, and unforgettable characters, it’s a story about healing, new beginnings, and learning to appreciate life’s simple joys. My summer reading, and posting, have taken the biggest hit! It’s really too bad, because there are so many good summer reads out there! Q: Which book do you have on your summer tbr that you’re still hoping to squeeze in? by @perkupandread
🤓 Convincing you to read my backlist summer book recs, one book at a time… Book 6️⃣: Happiness For Beginners by: @katherinecenter A story about Helen, who joins a hiking trip to start over after her divorce. During the trip, she faces challenges, makes new friends, and develops feelings for Jake, someone she already knows. The story is about finding yourself, being brave, and learning to be happy again. You don’t necessarily have to read this one during the summer, but it’s pretty fitting, since most of it takes place in the great outdoors!! Q: Who’s ready for the weekend??? #summer #summervibes #read #summertime #books by @perkupandread
🤓 Convincing you to read my backlist summer book recs, one book at a time… Book 5️⃣: One Golden Summer by @carleyfortune A heartfelt romance about Alice, who returns to her grandmother’s lakeside town for the summer. There, she reconnects with Charlie, a charming man from her past. As they spend time together, Alice learns to let go of old fears, embrace new beginnings, and discover what truly makes her happy. I recommend reading “Every Summer After” before diving into this one, but it’s not a requirement. I loved both stories, but One Golden Summer was my favorite of the two! Q: If you could choose to spend your summer anywhere in the world, where would you go? #monday #mondayblues #summer #summervibes #summerreading by @perkupandread

“S U M M E R” titles I’ve read just over half of these. Even though summer isn’t my favorite season, I absolutely love reading summer books! ☀️ Q: Have you read any of these titles? See any favorite reads or favorite authors? 💛 HAPPY FRIDAY 💛 #summer #summerfridays #summervibes #friday #fridayflatlay by @perkupandread
🤓 Convincing you to read my backlist summer book recs, one book at a time… Book 4️⃣: Seven Summers by @paigetoonauthor A heartfelt romance about love, timing, and second chances. Liv has spent years holding onto a promise with Finn, the man she fell in love with one summer. But when she meets someone new, she’s forced to choose between the future she’s always imagined and the one she never expected. 💬 I started a new job this week, so I’ve been pretty scarce on here! I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed, at the moment, but I’m trying to be optimistic. Hopefully I’ll get back into reading soon, I’ve missed it :( Q: What are you currently reading? #summer #thursday #read #bookrecs #summervibes by @perkupandread
