POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

met @rezident.music after his set and handed over part of a piece inspired by his album Feeling Fades. the same one he was handing over to me on vinyl.

felt special to connect and share my art with the very person who sparked it. ✨

🪞 full piece coming soon!

swipe for the full story on how a painting became a crown !!

back in july I told @slowmagic i’d wear this painting like a crown to one of his shows.

and I did! he walked through the crowd on his way out, tapped on it, and kept moving.

later he signed it.

some promises you make to yourself. some you make to the artist who sparked the idea. this one was both. so happy with how it turned out!

more on movement.

yellow and blue. primary colors. the ones you can’t mix to create, they just are. the building blocks.

square and triangle tiles. one grounded, the other reaching. a quiet balance between staying and going.

this piece is about the simplest urge: to move. to dance. no reason. just release and feel free in your own body.

this one’s for the ones who just wanted to dance.

working on some SLOW and BIG magic ✨

i’ve been thinking a lot about movement lately. how I wish my collages could dance. sooo i’ve enrolled in a motion design course! learning to make my art move. literally.

AND speaking of movement… i’m turning this painting into a wearable piece for an upcoming @slowmagic show. more on that soon…

green and yellow, side by side. this piece was painted in harmony.

how identity can be so fluid. embracing all the versions of yourself- not choosing a single self, but letting them coexist.

orange and blue. vibrant together because the other exists.

this piece is about the people who bring out the most vivid version of you. the ones whose presence amplifies you and stays long after they’ve left the room.

the way they move in you.

some dreams keep showing up until you listen.

the kind that nudge you toward something you can’t yet name. the leap that doesn’t make sense- until it does.

I painted it in warm tones. for the ones who walk away and bloom anyway 🌼

from bubbles to this.

a smiley face that couldn’t hold itself together.

she’s dripping. she’s distorted. she’s a little unhinged.

she’s here.

i’ve been thinking about the concept of home lately. home isn’t always a place. it’s a feeling you cultivate. sometimes you feel it in the movement between places, between versions of yourself.

remember that mug I broke? I used those ceramic bits in this piece. the beach cruiser van broken down into parts. breaking something can be a kind of release. the one you needed to finally move in.

I also used my own car, dorothea, as a model. that feeling being behind the wheel, windows down, somewhere between where you’ve been and where you’re going.

no matter where you are or where you’re going, home is within you.

what happens when you mix bubbles and paint? swirly magic ✨

putting my own spin on the classic smiley face- holding it up and watching the mixture run down, distorting it into something new.

controlled chaos. trusting the process and letting it become.

a lava lamp doesn’t hold itself still. it just glows. shifts. becomes.

this piece is about that kind of release. breaking free from the versions of yourself that were never really you. letting something or someone bring light to the parts you kept hidden. and realizing that glow was always there. you just had to let it surface.

watching my art learn to move !!

i’ve been diving into TouchDesigner - learning how to take the sketches, mirror pictures, the layers I build by hand and give them a pulse. movement. life.

this is the beginning of that experiment. static becoming fluid. art becoming something you can fall into.
