My strong little chick went thru a horrible accident involving a yeti and hot tea.

Adisyn suffered a large area of 3rd degree burns and some 2nd and 1st on the surrounding areas. She was out of school for almost a month, weekly visits to the burn center, and had to push herself to start using those muscles again.

This shaped my sweet Adisyn. It taught her strength and resilience! It taught her to overcome looks and questions.

To those whose flame has been extinguished, let this light represent our love and compassion.

It’s been 6 years without you Ed and it still seems unreal.
So much has happened & changed in the last year but we know you’ve been with us every second. Watching over all of us.

Two Years In North Carolina

I still hate pumping my own gas.
Front porch sitting is my favorite pastime.
Bagels & pizza are still superior from the north.
Collard greens are heaven.
Being two hours from the ocean is a sin.
Life is slower and quieter.
I’m still too loud.
I have kept plants alive longer than normal.
Waffle House > Diner

I miss being around the corner from my parents & my grandma, I miss being able to pop up to watch a Mets game and see my brother. I miss my getting together with my cousins and friends who are family, seeing all their kids grow up. I miss my clients and doing hair (not in my kitchen).
I love having my family come down and adventuring. I love the new friends who have become family. I love the way both of my children have thrived and found themselves. I love who Patrick and I have become. I love that I can get in my car and drive 8 hours to either NJ, Disney or Nashville.

I love the life we are creating in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
