I had an @kuhl waffle today and it was absolutely the worst stroopwafel I have ever had, and I have had lots. It was bad enough that I remembered to look up Kühl’s contact info when I got home so I could send them a complaint and bad enough that I am posting this. It doesn’t expire until 2027, but it was dry and flavorless and sucked all the moisture out of my mouth.

I am not certain why Kühl - a clothing company (i have several articles of their clothing - they're great) - is slapping their name on sports food, but their corporate reputation and their customers deserve better. by @perrybro

Because Amy is a little crazy and she needed to compensate for our lack of children, we got a third dog. Meet Timber, we call him Timmy or Timby for short. He is a good boy. by @perrybro

We got sushi last night from @mangsushibox. The fish and the presentation were amazing. I could not recommend it more. (We neglected to take pics of our sushi before we started eating, so I had to use this cute sushi cartoon.) by @perrybro

Yesterday’s eclipse was pretty amazing. It’s hard to get a pic of totality, but @amydeforestedwards did a great job of it. The sun was still about 50% covered as it was setting. All in all, an amazing experience. by @perrybro

I am in Spain with Amy and the kids for Eclipse 2026. Zaragoza is a great city with Roman, Moorish, and Spanish elements. by @perrybro

I have half jokingly said that I would follow Phoebe Bridgers like a Deadhead, if I could. Well, I am going to do it, sorta. I have tix to see her in SLC on Oct. 21 and then I am going to Seattle to see her again on Oct. 23. Yay. I am on the verge of happy tears. by @perrybro

I counted last night. I have made 78 of these cups. I was trying to regain my handle making mojo - it turns out that making nice, consistent handles is just really hard. I guess it's time for me to start thinking about firing and glazing. by @perrybro

This is my favorite part of the glaze firing. Flames shooting out the chimney, the kiln glowing like a red beast. Cone 10 was down at 1233 deg. C. by @perrybro

Project Solo Cup seems to be going along swimmingly. As always, I will have to wait and see how they turn out after glazing and firing. by @perrybro
