Today I woke up to this video which my dear friend @candaceface sent to me.
Words can not describe how blessed and happy I am.
Receiving a video from @andybaraghani ,Senior food editor of Bon Appétit and Healthyish, who has been one of my idols for many years, was the magic surprise I needed during these uncertain days!

Thanks for cheering me up with your kind words and motivations...
I will keep doing what I am doing and hope to see you one day in my garden, Andy jon!

Starting with my favorite moment of What the Food festival: meeting these two amazing women, @cookingwithzahra and @leenalzaben , in person after knowing each other for years. 🧡🧡

An evening of quince jam making and the shared table at @alserkalavenue

Thank you, Zahra, for this beautiful workshop, and Leen, the person behind this year’s wonderful What the Food festival.

Honestly, the best knafeh I’ve ever had.
Crisp, warm, perfectly balanced!

Some places stay with us in unexpected ways.

In a familiar smell.
A taste we haven’t had in years.
The things we grew up seeing without ever realizing we’d miss them.

And somehow, for a moment, they bring us home.

What takes you back?

Some memories don’t arrive as photographs.
They arrive as smells, tastes, and familiar hands.

What takes you back?

One table. One journey. Many voices.

This Homecoming at SEVA TABLE was a journey through the people behind the food.

Each dish was created by a different member of the kitchen team, bringing their own story, country, and culinary heritage to the table. Different origins, different flavours, different hands — all coming together in one shared experience.

Every dish felt like a small piece of someone’s story, shared with everyone around the table.

For me, this is one of the most beautiful things about food: it carries people, memories, places and cultures with it.

A special thank you to @kiki_alvarezm , who is such a wonderful person and brought so much warmth and thoughtfulness to the evening. And what a beautiful place @sevatable is — a space that makes gathering, sharing food, and connecting with others feel so natural and special. 🤍
