SYNOPSIS

Haunting #412: Lynch Hostel

Number of ghosts: 5. Possibly more?

Location: Lynch Hostel, Old Town Edinburgh, Scotland.

History: Five ghosts have been reported on site for the past century, since Earl Fergus Lynch, the original owner of the house, summoned them during his seances. So far, the residents have tolerated the ghosts, and they became part of Edinburgh’s paranormal history. Apparitions, whispers, drops in temperature... But lately, they have been more active, showing poltergeist-like behaviours and damaging parts of the house.

Wanted: An immediate expulsion of the ghosts on site with limited damage to the building and the customer experience for the guests on location. The ghost hunts are to be conducted late at night, when everyone is asleep.

The ExorSquad Team: James Sato and Ewan Hamilton (new recruits).

Additional notes: The owner of Lynch Hostel asked firmly that our team respect her seven cats living on site. The team can stay for free at the hostel for the duration of the mission. Accommodation has been prepared.

MY REVIEW

What's more perfect than a story with a cat ? A story with SEVEN cats !!! Especially when the fiercest of them all shares a name with you 🤍🐈

I loved all the books in the series so far, the authors did such an amazing job!! And I fell in love with James and Ewan !! Who doesn't love a giant golden retriever and his small black cat!!

I also really liked the found family here : the cats obviously but also the house and Lana and Shirley !!

So far the complaint I have about these books is that I'm sad we don't have cameos of the other characters even though they are in the same towns (Gerald totally doesn't count, same thing for his very annoying secretary Ted) by @perurureads

Location: The Paragon Hotel, Cornwall

History: Built in 1899 and opened its doors to guests in 1900, The Paragon is claimed to be Cornwall’s most haunted building and the home to a long spate of mysterious deaths and disappearances, including most recently a famous local actress.

Wanted: Figure out what’s causing the mysterious deaths and stop it.

The Expert: Podcaster extraordinaire Gary Runcorn.

The Complication: International surf legend and ghost of twenty eight years, Trystan Retallack.

MY REVIEW

Ok this was my favorite one so far (and the first two were amazing) ✨

The story was SO entertaining!! I actually figured out who the killer was (and how they killed) quite early in the book, but I still couldn't figure out why they killed some of them, so the reveal was very nice !!

I arrived at work just at the moment the reveal was starting and believe me it was HARD to wait for my first break to read it

This book was way more plot than smut and I really don't mind haha It was actually nice to have a more found family and mystery focused story 🥰

The ending also managed to make me cry in the tramway 😭

I totally recommend it !!! Even for someone who didn't read the other books by @perurureads

⚠️DEAD VENGEANCE⚠️ OUT SEPT 10th

Haunting #389: Gravely Stables.
Number of ghosts: Catastrophic.
Location: The picturesque English village of Big Spanking cum Bottomly-on-the-Wold.
History: Converted 1600s stables. No confirmed deaths. Current owner ‘has no idea what’s
causing any of this but it’s definitely not him.’
Wanted: ‘Just please get someone over here before everyone in this village dies horribly.’
The ExorSquad Team: New recruit, Liam Locke, first day on the job. (Company note: try to find
someone - anyone - to go with him. Whoever’s still alive will do.)
The Complication: Archer Gravely. Too-hot-for-words antiques dealer who keeps distracting Liam
on the job. Not that Liam seems to know much about ghosts. While, weirdly, Archer seems to
know rather a lot…

My review : 5 STAAAAARS

Liam and Archer have my whole bloody heart !!! They can use it to revive people if needed 😭😭❤️❤️❤️

No but this was such a cool story !! I laughed, got scared (Tez was very scary - Do NOT search his name on google, you do not want to see the pictures of the masks, especially not at night !!)

So I was saying, I laughed and I even cried a little (Jem 🥹 Simon and Fabrinand)

I love this series already and can't wait to read the other books 👻 by @perurureads

Haunting #362: Grimthorne Manor, nr Devizes,
Wiltshire

History: Built 1347. 21 confirmed deaths, 37
suspected. Current owners bought it sight unseen-
big mistake.

Wanted: Immediate ghost removal. Renovation crew
refuses to work after "flying hammer incident.'

The ExorSquad Team: Star employee Brad
Harrington (works alone, prefers it that way) & new
recruit Charlie Hayes (doesn't believe in ghosts-
yet).

Additional notes: Unusual EMF spikes detected near
the music room. Recon team reported "aggressive
90s alternative rock" playing at 3am. Black smudges
appearing on bathroom mirrors-appears to be
eyeliner.

P.S: Avoid the basement at all costs.

My review :

This was such a funny story !!!! I loved loved it 🖤
1) Bat was purrfect (🐈‍⬛🦇)
2) I'm not as lost in life as Charlie but I still felt very seen when reading his doubts about his choices and where it brought him....
3) Fücking Brad...

This was gladiator meets the hunger games meets GAY meets post apocalyptic world

One blond pretty guy, one black haired handsome guy, they speak Spanish, they are strong, they are hot, they are RUTHLESS FIGHTERS

The games were CRAZY GOOD, I was at the edge of my seat (in my bed or in the subway buuut metaphorically speaking), the roller coaster of my emotions, WHIPLASH!!!!!

Zombies ??? Mutants???? I need more of that

I would have read more and more and more

(Now let’s wait for Cas’ book)

Sorry that’s just me reacting to the last chapter 😠

This series might truly become my favorite from E.D. And that’s saying a lot since I LOVEEEEED a Knight’s revenge (and all her other books)

- I love my powerful girl 🐯
- finally someone got what he deserved
- so many more questions ???
- George 💚🐍
- the fight scenes were so cool

Now we have to wait again for the last book 😔💔

♾️✨/10!!!!

I have been waiting for Julian and Igor’s story for 2 years, since I read Isle of beauty in January 2024..

I knew it was going to hurt so much but daaaamn I cried, and cried, and cried again. In my bed, at work, on the subway… it was tragic, and beautiful, heartwarming and heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹

Thank you C.J. for giving them their happy ending

You can read it as a standalone but I would recommend at least reading Isle of beauty before !

The super slow burn made the first kiss so good 🥰
They might be my favorite couple from Killigrew street
Felix was very sweet

Also as a kpop grandma, the references, and the whole chapter in a seventeen concert made me laugh a lot by @perurureads

This was a tragic and beautiful story

I’ve been thinking a lot about the statistics in the preface, statistics that used to be women, that died because of men. I never knew the pourcentage of women killed by their abuser after leaving was so high

Peter and Faye’s relationship was so sweet

It’s the 2nd book in the series but I think you can read it as a stand alone by @perurureads

This was my first book of 2026, and what a way to start the year !!!!! 🖤

I’ve read and loved all of @authorcjlucci ‘s books since Isle of beauty first came out. I can confidently say, this was one of my favorite 🥰

My review :

✨Not me crying because of the epilogue 🥹
I loved Lucie in Hateful vows and couldn’t wait for her book, and damn I was not disappointed !!!
I devoured it! This book was everything I needed and more !!!

I recommend it 100%

SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP !!!!!!
ELIZABETH DID IT AGAIN
I almost cried when I saw the April 26 for the next book 🥲🥲🥲
This one is just OUT and I don’t know how I’ll wait…
I always LOVE Elizabeth Dear’s books, she’s one of my favorite authors and I’m so grateful to be in her ARC team 🫶
She is really good at writing the BEST female badass characters (and the best brothers) ((I wish we had more of their fathers though, I hope in the next books!!))

I loved her omegaverse but wow I didn’t know I needed shifters back!!! With a little more magic 🪄

Something you need to know about me, I love cats, big cats, small cats, huge cats, very fast cats, strong cats, all the cats. I got a lot of cats in this books, and I’m sure I’m going to get a lot more in the next ones. 🐱🦁🐯🐆🐈 (I wish we had a cheetah in the story)

I don’t know what to do with my life right now ???

I’m so in love with Elijah, he’s my new obsession, he’s perfect, I want one. And one George please. We need more George, I was missing him in the end

I’m going to count the days until book 2 for sure
