Legally Blonde but make it fantasy? Say less! 🩷

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you so much to @avonbooks and the author for the eARC!

I was instantly pulled into The Princess Knight, and the parallels only made it more fun as the story went on.

Ronan had me from the start. A hardworking MMC with a genuinely good heart! A BIG Yes. His loyalty to Clia, especially when she couldn’t see her own worth, was everything. Their friends to lovers slow burn was soft, sweet, and so worth it.

Clia’s growth was the standout for me. Watching her step into her power and finally stand up for herself was incredibly satisfying. That moment alone made the journey worth it.

The middle dragged slightly, and some twists were predictable, but I didn’t mind. The found family and Clia’s friendship with Niamh were highlights, and I loved the natural inclusion of nonbinary rep.

Overall, this leans more YA/NA, but it’s a fun, heartfelt read with a familiar twist. I’ll definitely be interested to see what this author puts out next!

QOTD: I know this has been asked many times but do you prefer to see star ratings on reviews? I’ve always done it without them, but trying something new today! by @perusetheshelves

Monday Blues 💙 feat some of my favorite blue edges!

It may be a Monday but there aren’t any blues here because it’s planting day! We have sunflowers growing all over the yard and some other misc herbs + flowers but my husband just revamped our veggie garden yesterday!! It’s HUGE and I’m so JAZZED for gardening season!! Hope you’re all ready to be positively sick of looking at my garden when it starts sprouting up 😏🙌🏼

In book related news, I submitted two NetGalley reviews this weekend and I’m working on a few titles that I’m behind on and catching up pretty quick, thankfully. I can feel the stress leaving my body!!

Anyone else big into gardening? If so, what are you planting this year?! by @perusetheshelves

Sunday spotlight featuring The Ever Seas series! 🏴‍☠️🖤

If you’ve been here for awhile, you know I am a HUGE fan of The Ever Seas series! Erik Bloodsinger is my FAVORITE pirate and this is one of my absolute favorite series! This series was trad published last year and I love the new covers so much! I’ve featured my special editions previously but now it’s time for the trad versions to shine!

If you’re into pirates, forbidden romance, morally grey men, found family, and a love story that feels deliciously dangerous, this is absolutely the series for you!! And you’ll be right on time for book 4 The Stolen Crown coming out later this year!! Tait and Mira, I can’t wait for your story 🖤😭

Have you read this series yet?! by @perusetheshelves

Black & White stacks 🖤🤍

QOTD: if you could reread one book again for the first time, what would it be?

The nice thing about being forgetful with books is that if I wait long enough, it almost can feel like the first time again. But some plot twists are hard to forget 😂 so if I had to choose in this moment in time, it would be a genuine tie between Metal Slinger or Rites of the Starling. The plot twists in both of those books SHOCKED me and having that feeling again is the best. Even as a person who loves spoilers, I love being genuinely surprised in books as well and they got me goooood, I’ll never forget. I’d love to experience that shock again!

What would your pick be?! by @perusetheshelves

Your birth month = your Ryan Gosling 🚀👨🏼‍🚀🪐

I saw @papermoonclub do this with Tom Selleck and was immediately obsessed. Had to join in with my latest fixation of Project Hail Mary edition of Ryan Gosling. Those little glasses hanging of his face just GET me! by @perusetheshelves

Someone please convince Ryan Gosling to wear those glasses 24/7 because 😍

But in all seriousness, I absolutely LOVED Project Hail Mary! I laughed, I cried, I stressed out. I had all the emotions within that two hours and 30 minutes and it was amaze, amaze, amaze!

As a reader I’m always going to lean more towards the book, and in truth, I do still appreciate the book more than the movie but they did such a wonderful job with it and I left feeling more than satisfied, especially with the slight variation in the ending! Perfection!

It may be the most cliche, Instagramy thing to say but I will absolutely be thinking about it for a long, LONG time! by @perusetheshelves

Spring stack 🌷🌿🌸

Happy almost weekend to all! Keeping up with the spring vibes before summer inevitably arrives next month and adding more spring photos to the feed!

On an unrelated note, I’m heading off to the theater today to watch Project Hail Mary! This is the first movie my husband and I have seen just by ourselves in YEARS, so I am excited. We live far away from family so help is few and far in between so getting to venture out childless is literally feeling like a dream 😂 and it’s for Projext Hail Mary which makes it even better!

I finished the audiobook for PHM a couple days ago and absolutely adored every moment. It was just such a wholesome read and the themes of friendship were so beautiful, I can’t wait to see it played out on the screen. Itll be amaze, amaze, amaze! I’ve got my box of tissues ready to go 🥲

My Booksta in COLOR ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🩷🤎

Shout out to @lozsreadingjournal for tagging me 🩷 I had seen this trend floating around and was so excited to finally do it, but decided to do my bookstagram in color since I don’t post a ton of personal photos! It might have been slightly difficult to sift through the thousands of photos I had on my phone, but it was fun to look back at everything I’ve read and taken photos of!

Tagging a few people to create their own, but of course, there is no obligation to participate at all!

QOTD: what new release are you looking forward to most in the rest of 2026?! I’m ready for all the sequels Like In the Wake of the Ruined, Wolf Queen, Light Wielder(!!!!) and The Ballad of falling Dragons 🐉

Metal Slinger Monday 🦋

Special Monday morning shout out to one of my favorite reads last year! I have been dying for some special editions of a Metal Slinger and I’m SO excited we have so many dropping this year!! I really enjoy my Waterstones and Fairyloot copy but this one was calling my name!! I’ve said recently that I’m really trying to cut back on special editions and I am, but when it comes to my favorites, I have a much harder time 😂🥲

What’s a book you love that you need every copy of?!

Wow, just wow 🤯

Okay, Devney Perry has gotten me not once, but twice with an ole twist that completely blew my socks off. My jaw actually dropped when it popped up. I couldn’t even believe it.

As I was finishing up listening to Rites of the Starling yesterday, I was constantly back and forth between whether I was enjoying it or not enjoying it at all, and I can confirm now that I DID enjoy my time back in the world of Calandra!

Devney Perry has a way of confusing the heck out of me and then smashing the truth right in my face and I love it??? I’m already looking forward to book 3 so I can be completely confused all over again!!

If you were anything like me and just not vibing, trust me and just KEEP GOING! It’s worth it!!

Have you read/finished Rites of the Starling yet?
