Did you know congkak is part of a much bigger family of games called mancala? 👀

Across different countries, these games have their own names and variations, like Sungka in the Philippines and Oware in Ghana!

Now we’re curious, folkies! What do you call this game in your country? Tell us in the comments, and introduce us to other versions we might not know! ❤

And if you’re in Singapore next weekend, come by Rooang and experience this iconic traditional game for yourself!

okay, but what’s actually inside ROOANG? 👀

a little bit of this, a little bit of that!
shop your next fit, find a new fave bag, footwear, accessories, and more from our lineup of brands 🛍️
then switch it up with some kebaya whimsy or challenge your homies to a game of congkak!
basically, come for the shopping, stay for the side quests..

see you inside ROOANG 👀

Pesta Folka only started a year ago, and now we’re here, taking this little dream somewhere bigger!

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who believes in what we’re doing and joins us in making our cultures more visible, appreciated, and celebrated by more people.

And now, as we take Pesta Folka overseas, we truly hope we can share the beauty of our cultures and the spirit of our community with the world. There’s still so much of our culture to discover, appreciate, and celebrate, and we’re grateful to have the opportunity to be part of that journey❤️ by @pestafolka
