Gdańsk Bus Station, July 2026The Gdańsk bus station is the city's central bus terminal, designed by architect Bernard Cofta and opened in 1973. Estimated target was to be 80 buses per hour during peak hours, 27000 passengers departing daily. It was never renovated. After buying it from Orbis group in 2012, the current owner wants to demolish it and replace it with office buildings with underground bus terminal, filing a motion to start the demolition in November 2025. Today marks the 31th anniversary of the entry of Serbian troops into the Srebrenica safe enclave, and thus a start of the biggest singular genocidal operation during this conflict – biggest, but not the only one. In the following days, at least 8373 men were executed in various places. After more than 30 years, the remains of approx 1,300 people executed after the fall of Srebrenica still weren’t found and identified.1 – former UNPROFOR Dutchbat HQ in Potočari, place of separation of men from women and children2 – Nova Kasaba football field. An estimated 1,500 and 3,000 men captured from the column escaping Srebrenica were held prisoner here.3 – Former Dom Kulture in Pilica, place of execution of approx. 500 men.4 – Hotel Domavia, Srebrenica. Pre-war spa/resort with over 45 different mineral waters said to have healing powers. Kormorany playing live in their studio, and a house where their 1990 Lapis Lazuli album was recorded, 2025. An excerpt form Anew, a documentary series about the identity of contemporary Lower Silesia region of Poland. Kormorany is one of the longest-running bands on the Wrocław alternative music scene. This year, they're releasing a new album. Siechnice Tomato Greenhouses, 2021/2020. An excerpt form Anew, a documentary series about the identity of contemporary Lower Silesia region of Poland.Tomato greenhouses in Siechnice are biggest in Poland. Urban sprawl of Wrocław means further population of the area with new housing estates. Combined with the expansion of agriculture production, it resulted in a conflict over the light pollution of the natural environment. As a temporary measure, greenhouses are partially covered at night, but at dusk the glow emanating from them is visible from several kilometers.Two takes of the same place, done in the early days of working on Anew series. I'm pleased to announce that the first such extensive presentation of works from this series will take place during this year's @krakowphotomonth, as part of the A Possible Arrangement exhibition at @bunkiersztuki_artgallery.
