Will it work?
I’m not sure.
Will I be glad I tried ?
Absolutely
That thing you’ve been holding off because you’re scared it won’t work?

There’s a reason why so many flower farmers will tell you it all started with a single dahlia tuber. 🌸
Dahlias have a show-stealing quality about them.
You plant one little tuber, and by late summer and into autumn it’s there — capturing your attention with its beautiful face. Changing ever so slightly as the sun shifts in the sky and the season moves on.
And the more you pick, the more it gives.
There’s a dahlia for everyone — even if you don’t think you like pink. They come in every shape, size and colour imaginable. (Aside from blue.)
Does it get any better?
That’s why I’m so excited to be adding 10 more varieties to my garden this year (plus 200 seedlings!).
Here are some of the beauties joining the garden this season…
Which one would you choose?

Rosemary Webb the one it began with…

I had the most wonderful day with @katherineenglishflora
A day that will be bottled up in my book of little joys and treasured memories, because this one was full of both!
Katherine has the most soulful way with flowers and it was such a joy to learn under her, as she is also a very generous teacher. My day with her was filled with invaluable insights, special moments and even reflection on what led me to falling in love with flowers.
I loved every minute of the day and lost track of time completely, to the point I left an hour later than we had originally intended and Kathrine made me feel welcome for every second.
It felt like an experience money cannot buy, as Kathrine generously shared with me her way of working with flowers, that she has practiced over years and then offered invaluable insights as I got to create my own pieces.
Every detail had been thought of by her from the way she beautifully set up her studio to the hours she spent prepping the ingredients so that I would get to experience working with them in the way she does.
I’m in awe of the way that she creates her artwork, not just in using seasonal and sustainable flowers but that each piece is an ode to the season itself.
I left full of joy, gratitude, confidence and answers to so many questions as well as a hunger to create more!
Thank you for an incredible day and stunning photos Katherine. My cup is truely full xx by @petalsandwild

Have you heard the narrative that growing dahlias from seed is cheap??
Aside from the fact that growing beautiful dahlias from seed is a numbers game - it’s also incredibly addictive.

Part 6 of growing 400 dahlias from seed 🌱
The unglamorous side of growing flowers… the labels, the planning, the watering systems, the things I didn’t think through.
Please tell me all your boring stuff so I don’t make the same mistakes as you. Or at least to make me feel better about making all the mistakes 😂
