BLACK WOMEN ARE LEADERS
Among her many accomplishments, Mrs. Hamer repeatedly fought to register to vote as a Black woman and helped over half of her fellow Black Mississipians to do the same.
Ella Baker began started the SNCC organization.

There would not have been a SNCC without Ella Baker. While serving as Executive Secretary for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), she organized the founding conference of SNCC, held at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina during the Easter weekend of 1960. by @petalsmelaninmagic

net Collins broke color barriers in the 1950s when she became the first African American prima ballerina and one of the very few prominent black women in American classical ballet. Riley is continuing that legacy with BE MORE Dance! @baltimoredancetech I am so proud of her Black Excellence 🙌🏾shine bright like a diamond 💎 by @petalsmelaninmagic
