We are about to roll in again, after 20 + years. Dear God, what is about to happen! I'm on site almost everyday, touching concrete. It still doesn't make sense. Here's a tiny edit from some footage Tim Spankowski dropped off the other day. taken in Turf Skatepark Historic Site by @pete____d

Another Rostrum camera movement test. I'm having a blast with these! All photos taken at Turf Skatepark '88-'90 except the color slide shot by Ron Schneider, 1980? #BelieveIt! taken in The Turf by @pete____d

We lost a real one recently. Steve "Oz" Ottoson, the self-proclaimed, King of Surfin' Turf. He could back up that claim by ripping every inch of the park. Mad lip tricks in the footie, bio airs and hand plants in the deep bowls. Also a pinball virtuoso! These pics were taken by me with my mom's Kodak disc camera, probably around 1980 or so. I remember being so timid asking for a photo, but was friends with Stevie Beaudoin (RIP), which provided enough cred for the okay. Big 'ol stinky OZ. Thank you for the memories and ultimate inspiration ❤️🔥✨ taken in The Turf by @pete____d

You probably know Pete D for his amazing photography spanning many decades. He's bottled up countless iconic skateboarding moments into beautiful still photos over the years. More recently he captured the Skeleton Key crew during their residency in Milwaukee last year.

But he's also a ripper in his own right. He should be... he's been skating the storied Clover bowl on and off for almost 40 years. (It was buried for 15 years but legend has it the pool was just taking a rest)

It was an honor and a blast to shoot these.
