And that’s a wrap!

Our final performance for Anywhere Festival Moreton Bay and Brisbane for 2026.

I want to give my heartfelt thanks to my incredible cast and crew:

Ryan Christopher- Writer. Without Ryan, RITC would not exist. Fate brought us together and it continues to be an amazing friendship and partnership. Two plays down and many more to come in the future.

Tim Bell, Technical Director (not pictured and ever elusive). Tim not only has the ability to turn glass, wire and electricity into art, to be able to bump in a and rig a set in the dark and to organise a cast, they will also do it with a smile. Less so when a car battery goes flat, but it was a fun hang while we waited for roadside.

Fraser Salisbury as Oedipus, my younger counterpart part. @qldcon.acting should be proud to have you this year. I’ll see you at the cast party, just remember to note the time is a 2:30 arrival for a 7:30 start.

Mali Just as Ismene, my personal cheer leader and ray of sunshine. Continue to wow your peers at QUT Drama. Two plays and dead fathers… jinx maybe?

Tayla Cooper, Technical Assistant. When Tayla isn’t rocking the sound and lighting rigs, she’s ensuring that I understand the importance of appropriate sleep patterns (I’ll sleep someday, I promise).

Xavier Witney as Theseus and Haeman, who’s charm and enthusiasm lightens every rehearsal. One of @Australian Performing Arts Con is as proud of Him as I am. My vegan chilli recipe is on it’s way.

Eleni Koutsoukis as Iokaste and Antigone, who can be counted on to be prepared for every rehearsal, every prop in place, and every whip cracked when we were off task. The scooter is back in the storeroom and will no-longer be a distraction.

Eamon Langton as Kreon. Eamon, my prized student as well as @queenslandshakespeare internship graduate and performer. Your imposing stage presence always impresses, but please, the esky is a two person carry.

Meet our Cast and Creatives for 2026:
Role Initiative Theatre Company is proud to introduce Tim Bell-Technical Director/ Lighting and Sound designer

Tim (he/ they) is a theatre technician working in Magandjin eager to expand his theatrical arsenal as technical director for RITC. Tim is drawn to the exploration of authority and power on the stage and is keen to see what this adaption will reveal to audiences who might be unfamiliar with older Greek texts.

Tim comes from a background of working on contemporary Australian texts with Villanova Players, Vena Cava Productions and Underground Theatre Company where he made his directorial debut on ‘Prehistoric’ by Marcel Dorney and is now Artistic Director. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Queensland majoring in Journalism and Drama.

Tim Returns to RITC for Anywhere Festival Moreton Bay and Brisbane in 2026 as our Technical director for both OEDIPUS// END OF LINE and PUNK ROCK POTTER.

Eamon (he/him) is an emerging Brisbane-based actor and a founding member of Role Initiative Theatre Company. Known for his bold stage presence and sharp comedic instincts, Eamon has brought to life roles such as the Valet in No Exit and the chaotic Half-Orc, Half-Gnome barbarian Brog in Bawdy Tails and Critical Fails: A Role Playing Adventure.

With a growing passion for classical texts and high-stakes storytelling, Eamon continues to carve out a dynamic space for himself as a performer who thrives on intensity, transformation, and connection. Now, he steps back into the world of Greek tragedy, bringing new depth and urgency to the role of Kreon in OEDIPUS// END OF LINE.
