How do you scale an airline without losing the thing people loved in the first place?

That was the tension with Porter Airlines as they expanded across North America and the Caribbean, new jets, new locations.

Social became one of the ways to solve it, not by talking more about flights, but by changing what the brand shows up around.
Because travel isn’t the airport, it’s what happens when you land, places, people, culture.

Growth puts pressure on brands to standardize, this was about holding onto what people actually remember.

How do you introduce an iconic menswear brand to Gen Z without pretending to be Gen Z?

That was the challenge when Harry Rosen came to us.

The answer wasn’t louder advertising.

It was usefulness.

We built Ask Harry, an edutaining menswear hotline designed for TikTok and YouTube that answered the exact questions young guys were already searching for.

The results:

• 10M+organic video views
• 61K TikTok followers
• 1.6M YouTube impressions

Proof that when brands stop interrupting culture and start helping inside it, attention follows.

“Maya, Maya, you workin’ at GRETA tonight or nah?”

When we helped launch GRETA Toronto, the entire strategy was about making it feel culturally active before most people had even stepped inside.

Not just awareness.

Momentum.
Conversation.
FOMO.

That’s how launches spread now.

Celebrities have taken a short break from selling us tequila to discover you can put protein in water.

Justin Timberlake’s mind reportedly exploded.

Mine remains intact.

Watches are becoming more like jewellery again, and Audemars Piguet has apparently decided to skip the watch part entirely. 😂

Their new Royal Oak Joaillerie collection turns one of the most iconic sports watch designs into actual jewellery.

A fascinating evolution of the Royal Oak, and a pretty perfect reflection of where watch culture is heading.

We went from Gary Vee screaming about grinding at 4AM to LinkedIn founders congratulating themselves for letting employees take a Friday off.

Same performance. Different costume.

Here’s the thing. Not everyone needs to hustle. Not everyone wants to. And frankly, not everyone is doing something that warrants it.

Oppenheimer hustled. The Apollo engineers hustled. Elon Musk sleeps on factory floors.

Meanwhile, some of you are making LinkedIn carousels.

Maybe the question isn’t whether hustle culture is good or bad.

Maybe it’s what you’re hustling for.

Every watch guy goes through the same evolution.

You start with a Casio, discover Seiko, convince yourself you’re a sophisticated collector, spend increasingly absurd amounts of money on watches...

And eventually end up right back where you started.

The watch collecting circle of life.

What stage are you at? 😂

One of my favourite books ever written is *Neuromancer* by William Gibson. And for some reason, every time I read it, I want to listen to *Digital Bath* by Deftones.

A cyberpunk novel from 1984 and a song from 2000. Completely unrelated, but they occupy exactly the same place in my head.

Both are beautiful, seductive and deeply unsettling.

They make you want to disappear into worlds you probably shouldn’t want to enter.

If watches were car brands, Part 2. ⌚️🏎️

You had a LOT of opinions on Part 1, so we’re back with another round.

Which ones did I get right, which ones did I get completely wrong, and what brands should make Part 3?

I put La Roux on for my kids the other day and was reminded just how ridiculously good that first album is. Not a single bad song. Just back-to-back bangers.

Which got me thinking about bands that seemingly empty their entire creative reservoir into one album, then spend the rest of their careers trying to match it.

You get your whole life to write your first album, then about 13 months to write the next one. And suddenly you’re famous, touring, and trying to recreate something you made before anyone cared.

What other artists belong on this list?

Democratizing a status symbol doesn’t democratize status. It destroys the symbol.

The limousine might be the funniest example.

In the 90s, a stretch limo meant wealth, celebrity, exclusivity. Today, it means prom night, a bachelorette party, or someone’s drunk aunt hanging out the sunroof.

People renting them are basically cosplaying a 1990s idea of luxury.

The symbolism survived. The status didn’t.

And that’s the fascinating thing about luxury. You can democratize the product, but you can’t democratize exclusivity.

The rich just move on to the next thing.

Are watches slowly turning back into the 1980s?

Small cases. Two-tone. Yellow gold. Integrated bracelets. Stone dials. Watches that look more like jewellery than equipment.

After two decades dominated by big steel sports watches, almost everything that felt dated about ’80s watch design suddenly feels interesting again.

The Piaget Polo. Omega Constellation Manhattan. Cartier Panthère. Tank. Santos.

Fashion is a pendulum, and I think it might be swinging back.
