LOCH INN x WORM, 16.03.24
w/ @peter_verloop aka J.Theodore

During LOCH INN at WORM, Rotterdam, J.Theodore will showcase music he’s been working on, as part of an extensive listening session.

J.Theodore is the alter ego of Peter Groovin’, a familiar figure in Rotterdam’s nightlife in the past ten years, where he co-organised many nights, or designed artwork for lots of local events & concepts.

J. Theodore’s music takes you on a journey into the realms of “breaky,” glitchy, rhythmic, percussive, and “dubby” sounds, affected by the warmth of soul music, or disco, jazz, IDM, house, or hip-hop.

Everyone is invited to join the listening session. Expect in-depth interviews, with our special guest, Rotterdam DJ legend Benny Rodrigues, as well as with the eight submitted artists. LOCH INN tickets are available via link in bio. Doors from 19.30h by @peter_verloop

NoFRIENDLY INTRODUCTION WITH @j.theodore_j.theodore |

The alter-ego of ‘Peter Groovin’, who is a prominent figure of Rotterdam nightlife since more or less a decade. You danced on events organised by him/his crew or you bounced into club night-posters designed by him.

J. Theodore drives you into a direction of ‘breaky’, glitchy, rhythmic, percussive and ‘dubby' sounds combined by the well known background of his influences and warmth of genres like soul, disco, jazz, idm, house and hiphop. This dude can make you to shake into pieces by serving you the freshest, abstract sounds and you still think: “You know it all”

He is always hungry but never starving, might be late from your appointment but lights up your sonic library with freak jams. As a permanent member and co-founder of ‘nofriends.eu’ he takes art and music onto a local an d international level with a true collective drive. by @peter_verloop
