Ibiza 2025 was enlightening to say the least, so much new energy, incredible sound systems, Doc Martin doing his magic at Eden and Ibiza global radio, Cafe Del Mar never disappoints, so much personal memories for me their, which leads me to the track featured here, “We Were There” written with one of the most talented musicians I have ever worked with, Armen Saro, under the moniker Saro&Black, back in 2003 in homage to Ibiza and all the great Balearic Djs, that had influenced us and continue to push for new sounds that defy the norm. Goodbye for now, Till We Meet Again! #saro&black #docmartin #djpippi #cafedelmar #ibiza2025 #airwavesrecords #118bpm #phonicarecords by @peterblack4real
Back to Ibiza after many years, where so many dreams where realized with hard work, so much has changed, no one is dancing anymore, the phone is the center stage, the search is on for the ultimate party, one party that does not include a DJ throwing himself into the crowd. #peterblackremix #ibiza#pylonrecords #freezerecords #docmartinla #cobrasidedistribution by @peterblack4real
Finally getting some good work done, since no one can really make a proper sampler in 2025 like the sp-1200, Emu, Z-plane filters, space echo & awesome mixer from Frap Tools, had to go Eurorack. #rossumelectromusic #fraptools #ericasynths #michigansynthworks #sp1200 #emu #converters by @peterblack4real

When you have reached the edge and everything looks and feels clear from above is amazing feeling! This track was done with a good friend Armen Saro in 1999, who dreamt of Ibiza and Balearic nights. Thanks to Paul Grogan from Rampant Records for all the support from the early days! #whitesands#trancemusic #ibiza#gatecrasher #amnesiaibiza #paulvandyke #greekislands by @peterblack4real
25 years ago we released this Balearic Jewel Track that no one could really understand, it took couple of years but it is a joy to hear it again in the Mediterranean Sea!!! #pylonrecords #sweetdrop #arasimonian#pacha #ibiza#essentialmix #francoiskevorkian #humannature #summernights #cafedelmare #parisfrance by @peterblack4real
Flood and Moulder talking about “wall to wall sound of software synths” and how all the music in the box sounds like a cloud. This is been the thorn in the music industry, we need harmonic distortion, we need swing, we need actual movement of sound, damn even Kraftwerk realized they could not be robots! #Flood#alanMoulder#depechemode #nitzerebb #electronicmusic #inthebox by @peterblack4real
In late October of 2001, right after 9/11 on my way to Paris for a DJ gig, a little girl was seating next to me on a United Airlines flight, along with her mother in the isle seat. This little girl was continuously looking at me, as I went through my routine of putting my headphones on and picking my set list to fall asleep during take off. She was clearly nervous, as where many people during that time. After the plane started moving, she tapped me gently on my arm and asked " What music do you listen to while you are on the plane". I said that I listened to lot of different music but usually when the plane is taking off, I listen to Kate Bush and a song called "And Dream of Sheep". She did not know who that was but I said to her, I would be glad if she wanted to hear it, as I knew the song so well and we could both close our eyes and relax. I looked at her mother, and she gave me the ok nod. The Headphones where so big on her head and she could not believe the sound. She listened intensely as the engine raved on and I slowly turned the volume up to drown out as much of the engine noise. We closed our eyes and woke up about 2 hours later. She was so happy and relaxed and said " Kate sounds amazing" I said, "yeah she does, and most of us think she is an angel and who would not want to fly with angels, right ?" I spent the next several months trying to make an ambient and a summer remix of the song with my friend Hardrock Striker. The idea was to pitch the remix to United Airlines advertising team, as I knew they were looking to several publishers for a song that would tie into their add campaign, to get people to fly again. In short, we got bogged down with other projects and never really finished it but did release it as a demo on vinyl to a handful of Djs, ... Dj Harvey, Doc Martin etc. Safe travels to everyone during this vacation season. Cheers! #KateBush#PylonRecords#SkylaxRecords#peterblackremix#Demo#2001#12"Vinyl You can hear the track here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGmENkQYD5M Kate Bush original track that we used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_256xd9N27o by @peterblack4real
After every record we made we would go to this literal, hole in the wall Italian place and celebrate, right by Capital Records. This weekend passing by I realized that building is not there anymore, anyone remember the name of that joint? #RecordRelease#HouseMusic#pylonrecords#docmartin#hollywood#capitolrecords by @peterblack4real
28 years ago I released this banger track with Ara Simonian as Sweet Drop on Strictly Rhythm Records, but before that our favorite DJ Doc Martin cut an acetate in Blackpool, Uk at a reggae mastering house. This is that one and only lacquer. The track went on to be on countless Acid Compilations and beginning of our music careers! The journey continues. #sweetdrop#pylonrecords#acidhouse#blackpool#peterblackremix#arasimonian#djdocmartin#steveloria#sasha#digweed#andrewweatherall# by @peterblack4real
