A little jumpstart on #inktober with some colorful Acrylic Inks and brushes and Bristol paper sent to me by @weareticonderoga

Never really got into acrylic ink before this, but I was really pleased with how this stuff handles. Moves around like gouache while wet, but after it dries, it seems totally waterproof. Plus it’s easy to layer and the colors are vibrant and fun to mix on the palette. by @peterdraws

First I drew for 10 minutes in pencil, Blindfolded. Then, with full vision, I drew in pen, working on top of the blind pencil strokes. by @peterdraws

Airing some grievances with a company I commissioned to design a bespoke thingy for specific uses, and it needed to have certain features. Sadly these were almost all lacking, and I hope someone up the chain fixes this. Color me upset! by @peterdraws

Truly thrilled to announce Rose, the astounding WINNER of the 2026 Peter Draws CUTEST CAT AWARD!!! The judges were impressed and captivated by her poise and playfulness, her tendency to nap on a chair by the window for hours on end, the scratchy and endearing timbre of her voice, and her relentless desire to be included in all manner of household activities, or at least to be sitting nearby. The judges will be watching her carefully going forward, additionally noting her “completely pure spirit,” and “little paws.” by @peterdraws

Gotta collect lots and lots of inspiration! This weeks it’s diagrams. And maybe next week. I look on blogs, archives, museum websites with digital archives, patent filings, etc. by @peterdraws

Still stuck in my brain’s throat, trying to hack and cough it up; something about diagrams, explain-o-graphs, things labeled, dissected and illustrated. Using @stabilo Point 88 fine tipped pens and @fabercastellglobal Polychromos colored pencils here, a great combo I think. Creating abstract, nonsense diagrams has been a long-time hobby of mine. Here I introduce a new element into the drawing process: collage using an old thesaurus. It worked really good! Plus I gotta say the thesaurus was really interesting to flip through. I used a pigma micron pen, my sketchbook, an exacto knife, a tiny cutting mat, and a glue pen. by @peterdraws
