Sarah and I had an amazing opportunity a couple of days ago. It all started with a friend I hadn’t spoken to in ages, whom I met through a surfboard sale on Craigslist in New York City. Instead of payment, he asked if I could teach his son to skateboard, and the rest is history.

At Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch, a dream I’d always wanted to fulfill since it first opened, we found ourselves in the most elite surfing experience imaginable. The place offers everything from top-tier lodging, coaching, and unlimited drinks to gourmet food and incredible barrel opportunities. It was an experience I never thought I’d have with surfing, but here we are—Sarah even caught the best wave and barrel of the day! Stay tuned for more photos and videos! Wow again what a honor to be part of something so big! What is to be Asian + American means carrying a deep respect for where I come from while also embracing the freedom to explore who I want to be. It’s the balance between tradition and individuality, honoring my roots while chasing passions that make me feel alive. I grew up surrounded by culture, family, and resilience, but I also found beauty in classic American cars, the craftsmanship of vintage cars, and the freedom of the open road on two wheels. There’s something powerful about being able to love both, my heritage and the culture I grew up in. It’s not one or the other. It’s the mix of both that makes me who I am.
Thank you @taaforg and everyone involved for building such a meaningful and strong community. This truly means a lot.

Through daylight and darkness, across mountains and valleys, we rode through layers of landscapes that felt like different worlds.

From chasing miles to walking around an entire lake—tripping on mushrooms and taking in everything around us. For the first time in my life, I saw a shooting star. I finally experienced the lights and visuals everyone talks about—a surreal roller coaster of colors, patterns, and neon flowing through my eyes. It felt like stepping into a living piece of art.

Some moments can't be explained. They can only be lived, shared with friends, and carried with you forever.

Roadside assistance 2.0

As I get older, I’ve found different groups of friends through different passions—some through surfing, some through climbing, others through creative work. But motorcycles are what I look forward to the most.

Another year, and we finally found the time to link up again. Day one: from LA to Belknap Campground in Sequoia National Park. Every day was over 400 miles.

Riding through the mountains, I lost count of how many corners we carved. We passed through so many different landscapes and climates that it felt like riding through different worlds. It’s easy to forget that just outside of LA, there’s so much incredible beauty waiting to be explored.Along the way, we also had a few minor repairs to take care of—just part of the adventure and all part of the ride. Throughout my modeling career, it’s funny to see myself so often cast in the role of a dad. This is probably my seventh on-set family, and every kid I’ve worked with has been incredibly well-behaved, kind, and awesome.

I want to celebrate all the people who show up with love, guidance, and support for the children in their lives. Whether you’re a father, stepfather, grandfather, mentor, guardian, or someone who has taken on a fatherly / motherly role, thank you for making a difference.

Chopper Orgasm Snap.
Pure moment. Pure ride.

Two guys from California — Beer (@beermanmw) and Peter (@petergiangbang) — rolled in on SHOGUN and MILES, introduced to us by Larry of @newyorkcitymotorcycles, a friend based in Zushi. Beer owns a whole stable of bikes back in L.A., and Peter is a model out of New York — a proper pair of riders. They took the coastal route through Hakone all the way to Lake Kawaguchi, and pushed back through heavy rain from Gotemba on the final day, returning safe and sound. After dropping off the choppers, they’re off to Kyoto.
Thanks for the ride — see you next time.

カリフォルニアから来てくれた30代の2人組、Beer（@beermanmw）と Peter（@petergiangbang）が、SHOGUN と MILES に跨った。逗子でバイクショップ @newyorkcitymotorcycles を営む友人ラリーの紹介で来てくれたとのこと。BeerはL.A.で何台ものバイクを所有し、Peterはニューヨーク出身のモデルという、根っからのライダーコンビ。海沿いのルートから箱根を抜け、河口湖まで足を伸ばし、最終日は御殿場から大雨の中を走り抜けて無事に帰還してくれた。チョッパーを返却したあとは京都へ向かうそうだ。
最高のライドをありがとう。また走りに来てくれ。
