We were delighted to welcome author Peter Stephan Jungk to the office last week to sign copies of his new book, THE DARKROOMS OF EDITH TUDOR-HART.

Very happy to announce the publication of my book 'The Darkrooms of Edith Tudor-Hart' by Haus Publishing! It is beautifully done - with 32 of Edith's photographs spread over two sets of pages...I couldn't be more satisfied with the result...

Edith wasn't only a remarkable photographer but worked - unbeknownst to her family and contemporaries - as a secret agent for the Soviet Union. Not only did she recruit Kim Philby, but Anthony Blunt even referred to her as 'the grandmother of us all'...meaning the 'Cambridge Five'...

A highly controversial figure and a close relative of mine: Edith Tudor-Hart, my mother's cousin, here in the 1930ies.

My biography of Edith, 'The Darkrooms of Edith Tudor-Hart', will be published by Haus Publishing in London, in May 2026.

Edith was a Bauhaus-trained magnificent photographer, socially engaged, a "professional revolutionary", and one of the key figures who helped bringing together the spy network later known as the 'Cambridge Five'...It was her idea to recruit Kim Philby. Anthony Blunt referred to her as "the grandmother of us all."
