New release from @rhyslangston on Writ Large Projects.
We are extremely excited to announce that
Minstrel Makeup Sex is available for pre-order right now at @writlargeprojects

What folks are saying about this new book:

"Minstrel Makeup Sex is a brilliant complex and wide-ranging social and political project that is brought to life by the sharp eye for both language and image that Langston possesses, the scope of references that populate the work so richly, and the radical lens to tie everything together without sacrificing tone or message."

-Hanif Abdurraquib, author of A Little Devil in America

"Rhys Langston podell sophisticates energy like no other mind in this fearless collection of poems. The experience of these lines like a like a lightning strike that is safe for the body or a gallery of infinite display. In the valley of rhythms and indictment, witness and imagination that no hegemon can contain. Enjoy these poems and don't forget to breathe."

- Tongo Eisen-Martin, author of Blood on the Fog by @peterwoodsla

I truly have this addiction and no thanks to anyone that told me to "go on ahead and get a case and a module or two"- y'all just don't want to be alone in your addiction. I'm already eyeing larger cases.

Rest in power. The murder of Eric Garner occurred on July 17, 2014, in Staten Island, New York, when NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo placed him in a chokehold during an arrest for selling untaxed cigarettes. Proving once again that Black life equals less than the value of a single cigarette.
