Some life updates from August to now:

- I never really did an “end of DCI” post because I honestly just forgot, but I really miss my homies from Spirit 26. It was definitely one of my favorite seasons I’ve marched, and making finals was pretty sick. (Thank you Dom for being a W roommate and seat partner 🫶)

- Shoutout to Mack and Hunter, two of my now out-of-state friends who I miss a lot. I love you guys 🫶

- Got to travel to Jacksonville on a random weekend with a homie to see some homies.

- Flew into Maryland, hung out in Virginia, then flew into San Juan, Puerto Rico, then flew home (all within 72 hours). Puerto Rico was pretty fire and I will be going back. (Thank you Justin for being a W travel buddy 🫶)

- Got to go to Halloween Horror Nights with my beautiful girlfriend ❤️

- Learned that I’m pretty good at racing, but not better than Benji :/ (I love you king 🫶)

- I still go bowling on most Tuesdays and line-dancing every Thursday with the homies. These activities really help to keep me grounded through my crazy life 🔥

- Got to hang out with my family at a UCF game and for my sister’s birthday.

- Had a Disney day from like 8am to 11pm with some homies. We got through Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT within that time (Guardians was incredible 🔥🔥🔥)

First thing that comes to mind is thankful. Thankful for these incredible experiences that make life super fun and interesting. Thankful for all the wonderful people in my life who bring me so much love and joy; the people who give these experiences meaning.

This first season of Infinity Percussion was absolutely incredible! As per every season, my skills have improved a lot and I’ve grown even more as an individual.

Of the few shows I’ve been in, this one has definitely meant the most to me so far. “Resonate” was basically about the sacrifices we make to be performers, giving up your heart to the audience and to this activity as a whole. Over the last 5 years of my life, I’ve sacrificed countless hours, energy, friendships, other passions, and happiness to become the performer I am today, and I wouldn’t do a single thing differently. That being said, this show resonated with me on a very deep level, and I’ll always be thankful for it.

The main thing that made this season so special was the amount of friends I made, which is probably more than any other season. These people have been the best friends I could ask for, and I’ve truly never felt more at home. I’ve gotten very close with this group of people, and I have a feeling I’ll know some of them for the rest of my life.

When people said drum corps would be hard, that was a HUGE understatement. Marching with the Spirit of Atlanta for this 2025 season has been probably the hardest but best rookie year of DCI I could ever ask for. I grew a LOT as not only a player, but a person. The people here helped me to achieve that goal, and I’ll always be grateful for the family I found.

To my fellow members, thank you for helping me on the worst possible days where everything that could go wrong went wrong.

To the staff, thank you so much for pushing me beyond my limits. I learned so much from each one of you and I’ll always be thankful for yall.

I didn’t expect to gain the family that I did through my time with Infinity 2. There were ups and definitely downs but I wouldn’t go back and change a single thing. I’ve become not only a better player but a better person through my time here, and I’m gonna miss everyone who made this first season so unbelievably special.

I love yall from the bottom of my heart, you changed my life. 💜♾️

Top 5 moments of 2024:
1. Making Infinity 2
2. Watching DCI finals in person
3. Convincing the worker of the Spider-Man ride to let me cut the line because I “look like spiderman”
4. Playing a fire drumset solo at all county jazz

This was the most adventurous summer I’ve ever had, and I’m so incredibly grateful that I was able to spend it with so many awesome people.

I got to experience so many new and fun things, and I couldn’t be happier with how I spent the last 2 months.

First time I’ve been on a cruise and out of the country, and honestly it was a crazy experience. From piano players in elevators to holding a sloth named Dash, it was a frickin great time.
