When the world first met Petiri Reed, he was navigating the sunny social landscape of Los Angeles as a cast member on Issa Rae’s critically acclaimed HBO Max reality series, "Sweet Life: Los Angeles". To the casual viewer, he was a charismatic young professional balancing dating, friendships, and business. But behind the screen, the Harlem native and Fordham MBA graduate was quietly building something far more permanent. Today, Reed is in his home city of New York, working full-time as an entrepreneur, model, and the co-founder of Off The Grid, a rapidly expanding community-driven lifestyle platform. Alongside co-founders Tondi, Josh Ford, and Joe Cash, Reed has transformed what began as a series of post-television events into a highly curated cultural movement. In our latest feature, Reed talks about the reality of leaving corporate finance, building genuine Black spaces, the beauty of fatherhood, and his highly anticipated YouTube docuseries, "The Pivot". Read the full story: link in bio. #TheQuintessentialGentleman by @petiri
(P)ivot finale - out tonight. Can you control what you can control? Can you compartmentalize the chaos? Can you be grateful for what you have? Who’s counting on you? Can you remain urgent without the panic? It’s always darkest before dawn by @petiri
The narrative surrounding modern Black entrepreneurship often glosses over the volatile, transitional phases that precede true business independence and long-term enterprise growth.📈 Petiri Reed, recognized for his appearances on Issa Rae’s 'Sweet Life: Los Angeles' and as co-founder of the cultural platform Off The Grid, is chronicling his high-stakes career shift in his new docuseries titled The Pivot. Captured right after being laid off from his corporate finance position, the five-part project offers an unfiltered look at balancing fatherhood, scaling an independent lifestyle brand, and betting entirely on oneself. Some people see the vision. The Builders know what it takes to make it real. Next at the table: The Builders. Founders, entrepreneurs, and people who have taken an idea from what if to watch this. They know the messy middle. The late nights. The pivots. The tiny wins that eventually become something much bigger. That’s the kind of experience we wanted around this table. And we’re only getting started! 🥂 #YouCanSipWithUs by @petiri

LA, the night before the BIG night deserves a little attention. 🥂 The city is heating up and the guest list is looking even hotter. Off The Grid x EBONY are turning up the heat in the City of Angels with Sunset Sunday, where the beautiful, the bold and the culturally connected come out to play. Think familiar faces, unexpected encounters, cocktails flowing and the kind of energy that makes you forget you have somewhere to be the next morning. Some nights are worth staying out for. This is one of them. 📍 Mr. T | Los Angeles 🗓️ Sunday, November 8th 🕘 7 PM – 12 AM Dress like somebody’s watching. Arrive like everybody knows your name. LA, we’ll see you after dark ✨. by @petiri
