I’m absolutely obsessed with this dress.

I made the Rossi Dress by the Bold One @theboldone_

I don’t really repeat patterns but I will be making a few of these.
Fabric: Ray Stitch - European Washed Linen Avocado (150cm wide and I used about 3.3 meters. @raystitch

Bodice Front: high square neck
Back Bodice: low square back - with ties to keep it on my shoulders.
I’m only small so I cut at the 150-160cm length
I attached the wing pattern piece and the belt piece together to make one piece, and narrowed down the belt by 1 inch - and cut it all together.
It has pockets 🥳
I raised the pockets so my hands can reach them.

It’s such a special dress I made sure I matched the overlocker thread - thanks @williamgee_uk

Here I am wearing another co-ord set.
I’ve worn it a few times and got so many compliments- defo one of my favorites.

Ornella Top by Spaghetti Western
Bust Measurement: 34 inches
Size: 2XS
I wear bra size 30D
Fabric: New Craft House @newcrafthouse - ‘Rust and Cobalt Stripes’ Lithuania Linen - you can only buy the fabric in store.
When I saw it, I fell in love ♥️. It was originally meant for another project, but used it for this project.
I lined the boobs area with ‘Sand Viscose Satin Twill Lining’ so it’s soft for my boobies 😊.
I’m so glad I learned how to close the back with a bow tie - very clever construction. I can use this for other makes.
I will make another set - fabric ordered and on its way 🥰.

My 2nd version. Obsessed. 💘
Shortened the legs by 6cms. It’s meant to be mid waist, but I like to pulling them up so it’s high waist. I tightened the elastic on this one. It fits better and holds up more when I put things in the pockets.
The pattern doesn't gave finished garment sizes, but it says for barrell leg it has 11cm ease around the hip.
The instructions called for a 3.5cm elastic band, but I used 3cms elastic.
There is a sew-along on YouTube.
The instructions and sew along differ in how to close the waist band.
I prefer the sew along, and putting the elastic in, inside the waist band side seam. A much cleaner finish.
I adore where the pockets are aswell.

The ties stick out a bit but that could be due to the stiffness of the linen fabric
Use specky seamstress bias binding for the arms. Love the colour contrast. @thespeckyseamstress
I decided to use a hook and eye to close the back.

I was at the stitch festival 2026 and I saw the Lisi dress on the beautiful @whatnaomimade from Fabric Godmother. I bought the pattern straight away. I had the fabric from last year 2025.

Fabric: Lolita Viscose Crepe - Pink used 4 meters
Size: 8 short sleeves
I didn’t have enough fabric to make the 3rd tier, so I just extended the knee length version to maxi length.i don't think I was savy enough with cutting out.

Intermediate Level - definitely intermediate level
I completed it in May 2026 just posting it now.

The pattern was inspired by Ossie Clarke. I would definitely recommend that everyone makes it.

I love it and get lots of compliments when I wear it.
I would love to make another one, but have the right fabric amount.

As it is tight fitting. I went up a size and it’s a bit too big. If I made it again, I would make it a size smaller.
I can still wear it, but I have to tie the ties tighter.
If I make it next time. I would 100% make a size 38. I would also make the lining the same colour, as you can see the white lining inside.

Love the big ruffles 💘 😻 💜

I agree that it’s an intermediate pattern. It looks basic, but I thought it was quite challenging.
There is a video on YouTube - which helped a lot. I think it’s the lining that makes it a bit more challenging.

The good thing about Viki Sews Patterns - there are different height options.
However, you can only buy 1 size at a time which is annoying as you can’t grade between sizes, as you would then need to buy the pattern twice. This pattern is free, so it’s doable, but is difficult for her paid patterns.

I just love how there are no annoying back closures. It is so simple to make and good for scrap busting.
Some people preferred the facing. If I had enough fabric, I might make it with facing next time.
I never made any alterations, the pattern is drafted for 5ft 6.

This is my 3rd Rossi Dress 😂😂😂. Oh Yeah, with a leg split.
There are so many variations with this pattern.

I wore this to my local shop and got loads of compliments. I adore the split leg 🦵. It’s very sexy xx

The colour of the dress looks a bit different in my kitchen than outside. I adore all my Rossi Dresses and I can’t wait to make more. Especially the Freddy Dress.

I made this dress for a private ball event.

I made a size 12 - I probably could have gone down a size, but didn’t want to risk it

Level: Intermediate, I would clarify this as advanced beginner to be honest.

I wanted it quite short so I put quite a large hem on the dress.
I wanted mine sleeveless, but you can add sleeves but I wasn’t keen on them.

I saw on other dresses that the dress was closed up with 3 buttons, hooped together with elastic, and the heart shaped gaped at the top.
I didn’t want that gapping at the top and I wanted my heart ♥️ to be complete at the top.

I did a zig zag stitch to keep it together, and then put a hook and eye at the top.
Yes, I can get my head through.
I love both the front and the back of this dress. But, the drama is really at the back 🙄.

I don’t remember seeing any shorten/lengthen lines on the dress.
I raised the pockets so my short arms can reach them lol

I love this dress and got loads of compliments this weekend

I’ve not worn it out yet, but I love this dress.

I want to make more, and I want to make the freddy. I need to get the sleeves right.

Wohooooo this is my sew fruity entry 🍓
I needed 2 shopping bags as I was fed up of always buying shopping bags.

I made 2 Merchant and Mills Orton Bags 🥰.

I keep my bags in the boot of my car, ready to be used at all times.

Matchy Matchy Entry 2026

I made matching jumpers for me and my friend 🥰.

I am wearing version B and my friend version C
I made both in size 38 / UK 10
I found the V neck quite difficult to put in 😫.
I don’t think I could go through that again 🤣🤣. So not sure I'll make any more of the V neck.
It's a really lovely make ♥️

I used @speckyseamstress bias binding, queen of hearts 🥰.

I then made a jumper and a hat for my friends baby.
