POSTS STORIES REELS

10 years ago today.

I was an intern, working on Nahmad Projects’ very first exhibition and inauguration. I had absolutely no idea what was coming. The show ‘I am NOT tino sehgal’, a concept by Francesco Bonami, was built on an open call that drew artists from all over the world. 30 performances, over 30 days, each lasting 8 hours. I genuinely don’t know when we found time to send a single email, but the summer of 2016 gave me some of the best memories I’ve had in the gallery.

@tomasdiafas performed on opening night with ‘Everything I Scream Becomes Reality’. Here’s an excerpt from his proposal:
‘Standing still next to a table, with his back to the audience, Tomas Diafas tells whoever comes in front of him “What would you change in your life? One word”. The artist writes down on a paper the answer and every 15 minutes, screams all the words he has collected. Then, he throws the papers in a bin. He claims having a special power for being an artist. Once it’s confessed, it is screamed. Once it’s screamed, life has changed. While testing the limits of his body and soul, he will try to set free the public’s souls. At the end of the day, he would have created in the air a post modern revolutionary Manifesto, full of human statements.’

We welcomed over 700 guests on opening night, with a power cut happening 10 minutes before anyone arrived. Glamour and panic in equal measure – a perfect introduction to the art world. Cork Street has changed a lot since 2016, neighbours have come and gone, but what stays with me the most, beyond the exhibitions, art fairs and books, are the people. ♥️

________

@tommasocalabro, during Tomas’s performance, you were asked what you’d change in your life. You said: “My intern.” The next day, you offered me my first job. I will never stop being grateful for that.

@charlottealicecall, navigating our 20s in the art world together, from championing underrated 20th century female artists to surviving Covid as a two-woman team, you have always been the ultimate powerhouse. Thank you for being a constant source of encouragement. by @petitpanda

Catching up on Instagram and filtering through the 473929374 photos I have of my child - no small feat.

Julia & Sam, Tatler, 2025

Such a deep, deep joy and honour to capture love stories like these. To be welcomed into such intimate spaces and get the best front row seat in witnessing it all. I won’t ever get over this.

I love you J&S! @petitpanda @samweightman

Memories ♾️ by @petitpanda

A moment for Sam and his lads — mostly on film 🎞️

The morning started off with a fresh cut from France’s best of the best. While the ladies got ready on a room next door, the boys had the best most hilarious time (learning to) ironing, wondering if they’d remembered to pack everything and if they could have just one more shot of whiskey.

Sam’s friends came from far and wide, UK, USA. All to celebrate with them both in this quaint little French village (with the best boulangerie ever may I add 🥐)

It’s practically impossible to sum up their morning in 10 frames, let alone the whole day — the hysterical laughter, the unguarded smiles and the many glances I caught between the lads and Sam that said and expressed so much love than words ever could.

Being a part of their day, in such a candid and unguarded (and involved!) is was something I’ll forever carry with me.

Thank you dears J&S — here’s to forever reliving the best memories @samweightman @petitpanda 🥂
