In the midst of uncertainty, we found strength in unity.

Everything started with a feeling of helplessness that’s hard to describe.
But then, a ray of hope emerged. A message from a friend of a friend, seeking homes for 30 animals from a shelter in Odesa, a city heavily shelled by ru**ians. Our mission began, and we embarked on a journey that would change lives.
Finding homes for these animals wasn’t easy, but it brought us together, and Petners was born. 🐾
And what about the animals, you ask? Well, you’ll have to see it for yourself. We’ve successfully found safe and loving homes for over 90 cats and dogs in Berlin. They are finally out of harm’s way.

The war is far from over, and the news can be heart-wrenching. But with the support of our amazing community, we’ve delivered 10 tons of aid to Ukrainian animals. That’s 10,000 kilograms of pet food, kennels, medicine, and blankets.
Our reach has extended far and wide, from Kyiv to Kharkiv, from Odesa to Kramators’k. Now, we focus on the areas most affected—the frontline towns and villages in eastern Ukraine - our brave friends from @radicalaidforce and @tierhilfe_ukraine are risking their lives to deliver the aid to the animals in need.

None of us here are experts in charity work, but we learn as we go. Meet our dedicated team: Ayse, Anne, Amanda, Alisa, Meri and Maia. Together, we’re making a difference.

🙏 Help us extend a lifeline to countless animals in need, especially those near the frontlines struggling to survive without access to food and water.
🤝 Join hands with us in this mission of compassion. Your donation today can change lives.

We came to Timo’s rescue in March 2022, saving him from the horrors he had endured in Ukraine: He had been chained, caged, and beaten until he could no longer walk. Scars on his tail and legs testify to the cruelty he endured. As a result of this trauma, he would bite when he felt stressed.

Thanks to your support, we were able to get Timo a wheelchair so he could walk again. And with Sally, Timo was blessed to find a great foster home where he got loved and cared for. The transformation was amazing. Timo embraced his new freedom and blossomed into a happy, active boy ❤️

After 1.5 years of searching, we realized that Timo’s biting behavior would make finding a traditional home very difficult. That’s when we discovered @jacobsridgeanimalsanctuary , a wonderful sanctuary that understood Timo’s unique needs and was willing to give him the love and attention he craved.

Another challenge was finding a safe way to transport a special needs dog from Berlin to Murcia. We teamed up with @trixie.heimtierbedarf, who donated his flight-certified carrier, Giona. We were also fortunate to have the support of @gradlyn_petshipping, a pet transportation company with over 15 years of experience helping pet parents arrange safe and comfortable travels for their pets. Not only did Gradlyn advise us on every step of Timo’s journey, they generously covered all the travel expenses for our lucky boy and his foster mom, Sally! We were overjoyed and grateful for the support and kindness of Kay and the entire team. Thanks to Gradlyn and Trixie, Timo made it to Spain safely and comfortably.

Timo’s story reminds us that every rescued dog deserves a chance to find their place in the world. We are forever grateful to @jacobsridgeanimalsanctuary for providing a loving home for Timo and so many others like him. Julian, Rachael, and the team are making sure Timo gets the love and specialized care he needs. Please follow them and support their hard work.

🇺🇦 1.5 tons of VEGDOG food for @dom.khvostov in Irpin‘, Ukraine 🇺🇦
(German version below)

You might’ve seen her before: Anastasia Tykha, evacuating animals through the rubble of Irpin’.
That photo became a symbol. Her mission didn’t stop there.

Today, Anastasia runs 4 shelters under the name House of Special Tails.
They care for nearly 400 animals—seniors, cancer patients, and those living with paralysis. Dogs, cats, survivors. The most vulnerable animals of Ukraine.

This is Ukraine’s largest shelter for paralyzed animals.
And thanks to your support, we were able to send dry dog food to help feed them for 3 weeks.

This donation was made possible through our joint Black Friday campaign in 2024 with @petners_org and the incredible help of @uanimals.eng ❤️

If you’ve supported this mission: thank you.

🇺🇦 2 tons of VEGDOG for @4lapu_herson 🇺🇦
(Deutsche Version in den Kommentaren)

The shelter cares for 700 dogs and cats, alongside peacocks, foxes, raccoons, rabbits, and a duck. Most animals arrive from frontline areas — hungry, cold, and injured. During shelling, animals often panic and hurt themselves trying to escape their enclosures.

This help means full bowls for animals living through the unimaginable.

This donation was made possible through a joint Black Friday campaign by @vegdog_food and @petners_org - with incredible help of our logistics partner, @uanimals.eng ❤️

🇺🇦 4,5 tons of VEGDOG food for @animal.rescue.kharkiv & the volunteers 🇺🇦
(Deutsche Version in den Kommentaren)

This time, the delivery reached the east - to Animal Rescue Kharkiv and a network of volunteers living in Ukraine’s most dangerous areas.

These are people who cook grains and scraps for strays because that’s all they’ve got. Who stay in shelled-out towns to feed dogs who don’t understand war. Who risk their lives - every day - just to make sure no animal goes hungry.

Now, they’ve got proper dog food.
Enough to fill hundreds of bowls.

This donation was made possible through a joint Black Friday campaign by @vegdog_food and @petners_org - with incredible help of our logistics partner, @uanimals.eng ❤️

To everyone who supported our campaign: thank you!

🇺🇦 3 tons of VEGDOG food for @gostomel.shelter in Ukraine 🇺🇦
(Deutsche Version in den Kommentaren)

Meet Mari Vronska, the shelter’s director. She currently cares for over 650 animals - 🐶 480 dogs and 🐱 170 cats - and does everything she can to make them feel at home. Even if most of them may never find one.

Back in 2022, the shelter lived under russian occupation for a full month, was shelled multiple times, and cut off from electricity and water. But it survived - and so did (most of) the animals, thanks to the incredible bravery of the team.

„The dogs REALLY loved this food,“ Mari says. Thanks to this delivery, the shelter is fully stocked with dog food for 1 month.

This donation was made possible through a joint Black Friday campaign by @vegdog_food and @petners_org - with incredible help of our logistics partner, @uanimals.eng ❤️

We’ll be sharing more stories soon from shelters across Ukraine.
Stories that matter.

If you supported this campaign: thank you.
You made this happen!

If you want to help the shelter → Donate. Adopt. Spread awareness.

🐾 The humanitarian group of Solidarity Collectives is launching a fundraiser to support an animal shelter

During our humanitarian missions, we constantly encounter one of the less visible but global crises of the war — thousands of abandoned animals in frontline communities.
Many of them were beloved pets until recently, and today they are forced to survive on their own.

Our members care deeply about their fate. We support both the people who rescue and care for animals, as well as the animals themselves directly.

This time we are raising funds for a shelter in Kyiv that takes in animals from combat zones. They urgently need to set up new spaces — a section of infectious disease quarantine boxes. One such section has 11 compartments, where adult cats or kittens can be placed.

Every animal that arrives at the shelter must undergo a two-week quarantine. Only after that can it be released into the pack and eventually adopted. That is why these boxes are critically important: they not only provide isolation, but also create additional capacity to save more animals from the war.
