BUILDING WALK-THROUGH + UPDATE 🐾

We have ONE MONTH to transform our new building into a place our dogs and cats can truly feel at home. ❤️

This space will be temporary and we will be renting it, but we have permission to make the changes needed to make it safe, functional, welcoming, and more pet-friendly.

Right now, we are especially looking for plumbers and help with leveling out the outside flooring. But we are OPEN to anyone who would like to donate their services, skills, time, or materials to help us rebuild. Whether you’re a contractor, landscaper, artist, handyman, designer, or simply someone with a creative skill you think could make this place better—we would love to hear from you.

We even have two muralists who will be creating artwork to pay tribute to Argus, the dog who was abandoned and found on this property. 🐾❤️ His story will forever be a part of this new chapter.

And honestly, it doesn’t have to be a professional service. If you have an artistic ability, a trade, a creative idea, or a skill you’d like to donate, we want you.

We WILL make this place better.

Being forced out of the place we called home has been incredibly difficult. Our animals are losing the familiar space they know, and we refuse to let that mean they have to settle for something worse.

They deserve better. Not worse.

So we are going to take this new chapter and make something beautiful out of it. We believe being pushed out has brought our community together stronger than ever and we truly believe better things are coming. THE COMMUNITY NEEDS US, AND WE NEED THEM. ❤️

We have one month to make it happen, and we cannot do it alone. 🐶🐱

If you can donate, donate your services, provide materials, or simply share this video, PLEASE help us spread the word.

💗 GoFundMe is linked in our bio.
📦 An Amazon Wishlist specifically for the new building will be coming soon.

Let’s build something even better for the animals who deserve it most. 🐾❤️

EMERGENCY‼️ please 😞

We are still in shock as we write this.

After more than a decade of calling this property home, we have been told we have to leave. We are devastated. 💔

For over 10 years, this rescue has been a safe haven for animals with nowhere else to go. Right now, we care for more than 50 dogs and cats. Some have only been with us a short time. Others have spent years here waiting for someone to choose them. For many of these animals, this is the only home they have ever known.

We don't know exactly what comes next, but we do know we cannot give up on them.❤️‍🩹

We have always believed in the strength of our community. You've helped us save thousands of lives over the years, and today we're asking for your help again. Whether you can donate, share this post, foster, adopt, volunteer, help us find a new property, or connect us with resources, every bit of support matters.

These animals are counting on us. And right now, we're counting on our community. ❤️🐾

Please share.

🎀🏡 ADOPTED: BILLIE🏡🎀

Some girls get a new home… Billie got a whole little family! 🥹💕🐾

Our sweet girl Billie is officially adopted and settling into her new home with TWO brothers… and guess what?! One of them is a PRS alumni! 😭❤️

There is something extra special about seeing one of our former babies welcome a new rescue into the family. 🐶🐶 We are SO proud of Billie and how beautifully she’s fitting in with her brothers!

From being a rescue girl to having a home, siblings, and a family of her very own… this is what it’s all about. 🏡💗

Congratulations, Billie! You hit the family jackpot! 🎀🐾 We can’t wait to watch you grow up with your brothers. Thank you to her wonderful family for giving her this beautiful new chapter! 🥹💕

CANNOLI 😭❤️

We’re trying something a little different to tell Cannoli’s story. 💔📖

Cannoli has been let down so many times. Passed from home to home, surrendered, and left behind when all he ever wanted was a family to call his own.

And yet, he’s still such a good boy. He’s well-behaved, adapts easily, and keeps going through every change life throws at him.

How many times does one little dog have to start over before someone finally stays?

Cannoli deserves a happily ever after, too. 🥺❤️

Please share his story. Maybe the person he’s been waiting for just hasn’t seen him yet.

This is MANNY 💔 Yes, he’s a senior. Yes, he’s blind. But he still has so much life left to live. He loves his walks, meeting new people, and tries so hard at every meet & greet, hoping this will finally be the one. 🥺

But time after time, they say no. And Manny goes back to waiting.

He deserves to know what it feels like to finally be chosen. Please don’t let his age or blindness stop you from seeing the beautiful dog he is. ❤️

Manny is still waiting for his person. Will you be the one who finally says YES?

🏡❤️ A little update on our new home! And Looking for more local artist to work wit! 🧑‍🎨

Argus was abandoned by the previous tenants after spending almost a decade there. Now, he’s in our care, and we’re turning this place into something special for all our animals. 🐾

A HUGE thank you to @_smellva for donating this BEAUTIFUL mural of Argus, made possible by @williss94 🥹❤️ Seeing his face on the walls of our new facility makes this place feel even more special.

We’re looking for MORE local artists to help bring our facility to life and make it feel like home! 🎨 We’re so excited to be working with @misdaisy on another mural and @paintmybuddy on lots of creative projects. We can’t wait to share what’s in store!

Every donation helps cover rent, save toward owning our own building, and make our facility more comfortable for the animals who need us.

Our dream is to give these animals a place they can always call home. 🐶🐱❤️

Want to help? Donate through the link in our bio or DM us if you’re a local artist who wants to be part of this journey!

Here’s an Argus update. 🖤🐾 We had no idea the tricks he had up his sleeve !

When we were told we had to leave our current facility, we were devastated. With very little time and so many animals depending on us, we had no idea where we would go.

But with the incredible help of our community, we found a facility we can rent that allows animals. Our dream is still to own our own building, but looking back, maybe everything really did happen for a reason… because it led us to Argus. 🥺

According to witnesses and people working on the building, Argus had been there for around 8 years before he was abandoned. We were told he was left with no food or water and was drinking from a dirty toilet just to survive.

The people who left him behind have no idea what an incredible dog they left behind. Argus is loving, loyal, gentle, and clearly meant for so much more. 🖤

And with #NationalBlackDogDay we’re celebrating Argus and every black dog waiting for someone to see just how special they are.

🏠 BUILDING UPDATE: Our first mural is almost finished, and another muralist will be joining us soon! Several incredibly talented local artists are also contributing to our new space. Please support their work when you see it — we are so grateful for each of them. ❤️

Your donations to our GoFundMe help us continue paying rent while saving toward our own permanent building, so we never have to face this uncertainty again.

Argus was abandoned, but he wasn’t forgotten. Somehow, everything led him to us. 🐾🖤

GoFundMe is in our bio. Thank you for helping us build a future where we can always say yes to animals who need us. #fyp #donate #adopt #viral by @petrescuesolutions

DONUT has been overlooked for so long that she’s learned to disappear. 💔

She came to us at just ONE MONTH old… and she’s spent her life trying not to be noticed.

She hides. She doesn’t come out for meet & greets. And because no one takes the time to get to know her, people leave without ever realizing she’s there.

It’s heartbreaking to think she could spend her whole life invisible.

Donut will need an experienced cat owner who understands shy, unsocialized cats and is willing to give her the time and patience she’s never had.

So today, we’re putting her out there.

Because she deserves for someone to finally notice her. 🥺🐾
