Creative direction from talented @vanessaholden 🤩and w my two ever faves @simoncooks @deedeepreston . What a team. What a magazine. The golden era of publishing 💛🤍💛

MOTHER’s DAY //

Gentle wishes to all the Mothers, the mother figures, carers, fur baby mamas, and the childless and to the motherless.

My gorgeous Mum left this earth 31 years ago. She absolutely adored being a mother, just as much as we adored her. Her beautiful maternal qualities now to be witnessed in my Sister’s soulful and heartfelt mothering of her two sons, my nephews. It melts my heart!

You can purchase the @twogoodco cookbook via the Two Good Co website. Packed w some truly tremendous recipes by some of the leading Australian chefs and w 50% of profits to the Two Good Foundation to support donations and employment programs for women at risk of homelessness, it is a great opportunity to support an incredible initiative!

C A K E //

‘A party without cake is really just a meeting.’….Julia Child

My favourite quote about cake!

Another turn around the sun ….and there’s been much cake. Thank you for all the kind wishes and messages last week and over the weekend. To my family for the raft of fun dinners and celebrations in this multi-day affair. Forever grateful for you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY //

Big HBD wishes @nigellalawson for UK 6th!

This is one of my favourite portraits, of the always wonderful Nigella, that I’ve taken over the years. A true goddess in every sense of the word.

This one taken when we were shooting our third cookbook - ‘Nigellissima’ together in 2013.
One of my career (and personal) highlights.

Many happy returns for your special day Nigella 🤍

GIRAFFE //

It’s world giraffe day!

These incredible long-legged and long-necked beauties are a threatened species w their populations diminishing by 60% in 30 years. There are now less than 117,000 giraffes in the world today.

Horrifying to think that generations to come may not ever be able to see one, w their presence perhaps being regaled only in books and fairytales.

LUNAR NEW YEAR’S EVE //

Dumplings symbolise wealth and prosperity, and so are typically eaten to usher in the new lunar year.

Wishing everyone much happiness and joy (and wealth and prosperity) in this lunar year of the wood snake 🐍 🐍🐍.
