I enjoyed capturing all the light and shadows on "Moose" and probably used more than a dozen blues and purples in the underlayers to get the darkest tones. It was a challenge for sure, but I am pleased with the results.

Meet Dori! She was commissioned for a birthday 🎂 gift. Dori is named after Hurricane Dorian in 2019, which is when/why she was rescued. Her fur may have blues but there is nothing sad about this perky pup...she is all play and a perfect lady!

Welcome my new "assistant" at Pets-by-Bets.com! Meet my 5.5 year old rescue adopted on St. Patrick's Day 2022. I have been calling her Scoots, Scooby-Doo, Sugar, Sweetie, and Cutie Pie She is a real cuddlebug, she loves snoozing on my lap or any fleecy blanket. She is healthy, happy, and now living her best life in her forever home!

I discovered that a jewelry store ring display tray with slots is a perfect gadget to put on your slanted architectural desk when it doesn't have drawers attached, so that you can see your pencil color palette without everything rolling off. Found it on sale at Michael's over the summer. I love creative solutions like this!! #luminance #fabercastell #petportraits #drawing #creativestorage by @pets_by_bets

Meet Tandy, a handsome and friendly Collie who spent many active years in Alaska before his family moved with him back to the East Coast. I have to say, I really enjoyed working with this photogenic fellow! I'm so honored his "parents" trusted me to capture his personality and even had him pose with the finished portrait!
