SILVERLENS New York presents : Carmen Argote “Soft Perimeter” and various artists for SALON as it takes its title from both the salon-style hang and the domestic interior: two modes of display built on proximity, accumulation, and personal taste. Bringing together works by artists who transform familiar materials and everyday forms, the exhibition considers what happens when distinctions between art and decoration, utility and ornament, begin to dissolve. @silverlensgallery @carmen.argote @_powmartinez_ @etsukonakatsuji @wawinavarroza @mitjaiinn @gregoryhalili @yeeilann @emilychengart @cardboardparadise @_james_clar #carlosvilla #bernardopacquing #carinasantos #patriciaperezeustaquio by @pettyrevilla

dieFirma is pleased to present Bill Miller : Spanning Time, his second solo exhibition with the gallery.

Miller meticulously hand-cuts vintage linoleum, constructing psychologically charged landscapes, enigmatic narratives, and quietly monumental scenes that invite viewers to reconsider not only the images before them, but the histories embedded in the material itself.

Miller’s work remains insistently handmade; each work bearing the visible evidence of countless decisions. In so doing, he inserts himself into a material that was originally designed for mass production and endless repetition. @diefirma.nyc @billmillerart by @pettyrevilla

Gallery Hyundai is pleased to present Meditation: Myth and Memory, an exhibition of Korean American sculptor John Pai. “Memory is like an extended womb integral to nearly every human endeavor. It’s a bit unnerving, but then again perhaps also amusing, to think that maybe it has a life of its own.”

Textile Art Gallery NYC presents: Untethered Works:
Peggy Black, Julia Graziano, Sarah Pavlik exhibit their recent and evolving textile art, each artist holding a distinct and innovative voice. Working by instinct and intuition, all three are deeply inspired by abstraction as well as the element of surprise and the search for the unknown. Using fiber, these artists create works sensitive to line, shape, color, texture, and stitch, compiling a collection that speaks to their personal dialogue with the materials. From pieced fabrics to dyed, pigmented and painted cloth, this exhibit embodies bold experimentation in fiber. Together, the artists demonstrate the profound relevance of textiles in contemporary art. We encourage the audience to view the exhibition with their own untethered curiosity and imagination. @textileartnyc @peggymargaretquilts @graziano.julia @pavlik_sarah_j #textileartist by @pettyrevilla
