SAY WHAT? We are super stoked to play with our pal @jacobcyprian (@theregionband) and touring party @jg.shadid and @intoitoverit at @joybombsocialcenter on October 2!

This is going to be an acoustic set, so Peyton will be stepping away from the kit for this one. We have a couple things up our sleeves, so don’t miss this one.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

SLOWBURN is out everywhere.

This project has been in the works since 2024 and I wrote it at a time where my life was so static, scary, and confusing.
Out of college, I began recording a record full of songs I had written that came to a creative standstill. Nothing was happening how I planned and I found it hard to even get a song that felt like it was the write song to push forward. I was absolutely defeated. I went on a walk one night with a notepad and paper, and told myself I couldn’t come home until I had a song. Sure enough, I didn’t get anything the entire time, and kept ripping up the notes until the last block before my house I said to myself. “I’ll beg for the floor just to have nothing to say” and all of a sudden it started flowing. That’s when this EP was born, and that same summer the push against my own brain led me to writing the rest of the songs.
So much has happened in my life since I began working on this project and it’s entirely crazy to set it free and move on. It’s ironically been a slowburn. I’m extremely happy it’s finally out there, and I can have something amazing to show for it.
Special thanks to @nate.on.keys for sitting with me for hours day after day in his families living room to record this, and for everything after, playing live, helping guide the ship when I need a co-captain. This couldn’t have happened without you.
Also to @jimcaroll for believing in the dream and taking these songs and bringing them to life, and for always going the extra mile to get the song over the finish line, while being the best mentor I’ve had.
Again to @_ryanharmon_ for coming and adapting to any random work I’ve got going and laying down the sickest bass parts and giving your absolute best no matter the circumstance.
Another to @peytcox for swooping like a pro to save the day for drums. You are truly a percussive weapon, and working with you is a pleasure.
Lastly, thank you to everyone watching and listening and supporting, friends, family, internet friends, strangers for always supporting me over the years. It all means the world and I can’t wait for what’s next ❤️ taken in Chicago, Illinois by @peytcox
