i will never be able to put the experience of volleyball into a paragraph on instagram.

in the summer before seventh grade i got asked to go to a volleyball camp by a friend just for fun. little did i know i would find something bigger, my first love.

throughout these six years i have experienced many teams, coaches, and even clubs but none can compare to this last and final year. i have spent every year praying that i would find a team with people and coaches who feel like family and it’s beautiful that i found it when i least expected it. when i got the text to join this team i talked to my parents, prayed, and knew deep down i should take it. i am SO incredibly grateful i did. through the 2-3 hour practice 3 times a week, the 10 hour long tournament weekends, the mental side, and putting your body on the line so a ball doesn’t touch the floor coaches and teammates that start out as strangers turn into your family. not only did my team do something everyone doubted us for, earning a bid to USAV nationals, we did it while becoming a family. i honestly don’t believe anything i say here will describe this team, you honestly just had to be there. thank you coach izzy & jo for your non stop belief in me and always pushing me to be my best, you changed my life with this offer. and to my teammates i love you all more than words can ever say. thank you for allowing me to join this chaotic family and make me feel apart of it right from the jump. i will miss this forever.

all that to say my six years cannot be summed up here. i have learned valuable life lessons throughout my time that have shaped me into who i am and hope to be in the future. although i’ve had to miss family gatherings, hangouts with friends, and lots and lots of school (no complaints) there is truly no place i would have rather been. my parents have filled my cup with my passion and always showed up, and to that i’m forever grateful. to every coach and teammate i’ve ever had thank you for pouring into me and believing in me. thank you 575 for showing me what found family truly is and means. i love you volleyball thank you for everything. #3out by @peyton.clere

GOD IS SO SO GOOD!!!😊👏🤍💫

in seventh grade i gave my life to Jesus and was baptized. ever since then i’ve known that He is EVERYTHING. over these past couple of months i’ve felt incredibly distant and coming into rush i had a lot of guilt for that. i had this pull one night during worship and i just broke down in tears and just apologized for how distant and far i’ve felt from Him even though He was always right there. so i decided i wanted to rededicate my life to Him and get re baptized not for the aesthetics of the ocean or to say i’ve done it twice but because i truly want to be made new through Christ. so this year at rush i got re baptized and can we just thank God for that!!!! how great is our God that He forgives you for every little thing and He always loves us! He is love! i’m so grateful for this week and what God has opened my eyes too. i have truly been WASHED!🤍 #ɢᴏᴅɪsɢᴏᴏᴅ #rushcamp taken in Daytona Beach, Florida by @peyton.clere
