Chanel and I had fun pretending to be Jumpers at @morvenpark this weekend! While we demonstrated absolutely no urgency whatsoever, the clean footwork still placed us in the ribbons with an easy clear round!

Ten months since our last XC school and Chanel said, “Cute warmup, where’s the real stuff?”
My pumpkin spice came back swinging and ate up the course.

Cheers to one year with my favorite diva. I absolutely adore my boss mare.

Buying Chanel was not exactly the sensible choice. Between the out-of-state purchase, PPE, logistical chaos, 18-hour shipping trip, and a very unusual history, she was a long shot in every practical sense. But from the beginning, I had a gut feeling I could not ignore.

This time last year, I went to Ocala for a long weekend to find my next competition partner while bringing along young Mo Mo. I made a detailed spreadsheet, planned the trip down to the hour, and tried 21 horses in 3 days. Chanel was the first horse I sat on, and even though I gave myself the weekend to try the rest, I knew almost immediately she was end game.

What followed has been more special than I could have imagined. We clicked, we trusted each other, and she helped rebuild my confidence after nearly a decade away from competition.

I am so grateful for this quirky, talented, spicy girl. We cannot wait for spring and summer show season. I love you, Chanel. 🧡 by @peytonemajor

Art kid forever - Stepping into a memory I never outgrew.

The National Gallety of Art in DC has always been one of my favorite places in the world. I spent so much of my childhood here with my cousins and sister @olivialynn9 @allyymajor @nicholascox.o_o and Nathan.

I came this close to minoring in art history (my sister fully committed and got the double major.)

Even with the painfully wrong boots, I loved being back this winter with my mom and sister, especially to experience the latest Aboriginal exhibition together.
