POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I’m excited to share what I’ve been designing behind the scenes over the past month for this budding little project.

Over the next week or so I’ll be sharing it all. Colors, fonts, images, all deeply personal and based on story, history, and love, with some art and science mixed in. More than the sum of their parts. Maybe that’s called alchemy.

A custom mark for Peyton Englewood. An old world, elegant and timeless font with special ligatures paired with a complimentary cursive and an historic drawing of holly from the 1800s.

Rich walnut is the heart, a cornerstone color. Taken from the woodwork in our old Victorian home, an homage to all things equestrian: saddlery, horses, barns, the color of my grandfather’s tobacco, velvety magnolia leaves, and the intangible warmth of rooms that hold history in their walls. Rich, layered, and welcoming.

The full palette shaped by warmth and history, chosen with intention, each color symbolizing something special, a story to be shared, a piece of history woven in to the fabric that makes up the full tapestry of this project’s DNA. A beginning that feels deeply rooted and entirely new.

The signature holly selected for Haddonfield specifically as it grows so abundantly here. It’s in just about every neighbor’s yard. I’ve seen holly so high it’s taller than two story homes. It’s intricately tied to our neighborhood, town, and to the holiday season.

Holly has been carried through centuries of winter, from solstice fires to cathedral doors to Victorian parlors. Long before it was decoration, it was a symbol of life in the darkest season. Its popularity surged with the invention of the first commercial Christmas cards around 1840, about 45 years before our home was built.
A beautiful botanical with a rich, layered history all its own, it seemed a perfect complimentary pairing with the walnut and logo.

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øVintage Americana 250 Porch Part 3!

After completing the bunting around the door I added the hydrangeas we purchased from @russosfruitveg in Tabernacle NJ on Friday.

I brought out this blue and white chinoiserie garden stool from the living room for corner height and interest and set a small pot on top. To tie it all together I draped this gorgeous wreath sash from @d._stevens - it’s part of there America 250 collection.

Wreath sashes aren’t just for wreaths! They have so many decor uses.

I still need to make a wreath and I’ll add in some more flowers but I’m loving the way this turned out so far!

Sometimes the best place to experiment is home.

When I’m designing for a client, there’s a vision we’re working toward. At home, I can keep experimenting, adding, taking away, and seeing where it goes.

That’s what happened with this fall porch. There wasn’t really a finished picture in my head. I pulled from materials I already had, clipped things from my own garden, moved things around, and kept going until it felt right.

And even then, I’m not sure it’s ever completely finished. That’s part of the fun.

Pulling together colors, inspiration, and ideas for fall photography, tablescapes and decorating. I love the way this is all coming together.

Sticks I gathered last winter, baskets collected over time, dried hydrangeas, preserved magnolia (using glycerin), pears and figs from the grocery store, and pumpkins straight from our garden.

Vintage copper containers, China, and wool table covers add interesting textures. I never like anything to be too perfect.

The @sanderson1860 paper napkins I found were so pretty under the pumpkins!

The garland and entry I created for our home last week. Created with chicken wire, hydrangeas, magnolia, some overgrown foraged material from next door, and some clippings from our own gardens.

For added color, I included faux fig stems and sprayed some of the hydrangeas burgundy.

The wreath is preserved boxwood, and the bow is a @peytonenglewood original available soon in my shop!

My style tends to be old world, dreamy, unruly, and is always evolving. Even I don’t always know what I’m going to like until it’s finished.

As the season changes, I’ll add more turning leaves, pumpkins and whatever else my heart desires. It can evolve with the season which is my favorite display to create for our home.

I was 16 when Type O Negative released their October Rust album in 1996, just over 30 years ago. I never imagined when I saw them in concert at Cleveland’s iconic Odeon club (at 16??!! But hey it was the 90s) this song would be on my playlist as a mama, three decades and five kids later. I was just a metal loving teenage kid running around to concerts all over Cleveland. The life we all lived in the 90s our parents would probably be arrested for today.

Those songs still take me back every time, even though the activities might look a bit different. The gritty city walks, an ashtray full of cigarettes at 2am, the sticky floors, the unsettling environment - all of it set the stage later for me to have a job where I constantly had to figure things.

Now I get to work on fall and winter as my job. Quiet, gentle and cozy compared to the chaos of growing up. I always imagined what it must be like to be the Cinnamon Girl, now I realize I’m there. I’m home. by @peytonenglewood

Introducing @peytonenglewood first product in collaboration another Haddonfield small business: @silvershoreco. ✨✨✨✨

Fabric bows in iconic fabrics were a dream product for my small business but I imagined it being a bit down the road. āž”ļø

After a happenstance meeting with @silvershoreco, we became fast friends and dreamed up a way to work together. āž”ļø

@silvershoreco is woman and šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø veteran owned, and located right here in Haddonfield, New Jersey.

Mikaela, founder of @silvershoreco, is a mama to two sweet girls and served in the United States Air Force until recently. Her new chapter civilian is still unfolding.

Shes an incredible artist whose talent doesn’t stop at sewing!

We dreamed up these two styles of fabric bows, created on the iconic Into The Woods fabric by P Kaufmann. It’s now discontinued, and we purchased all we could find.

This fabric was a fabric I had already selected for our bedroom for curtains, and I used it to make curtains for my husband’s office in Charleston. It’s a fabric I’ve loved for a long time, and it’s universally loved and recognized.

A richly detailed botanical fabric that feels old world, timeless, and grounded.

It doesn’t hurt woodland Christmas is mad trending this year - blending beautifully with that aesthetic but working year round for every season.

The collection won’t last forever, with about 20 bows in each style.

Everything is designed, cut, sewn and made right here in Haddonfield.

We currently have two styles - each with their own personality.

The Country House Bow.

Oversized and relaxed, designed to feel less formal than our Victorian style bow. Its generous fabric loops and shorter tails give it presence without requiring a grand setting.

Charming for wreaths, anchoring a garland at each end, a tree topper, baskets, chairs, nurseries and mantels.

At home on a wreath (seen here on a 20inch preserved boxwood wreath on our 33in wide front door).

Inspired by a dress bow we discovered, our Victorian bow reimagines a beautiful piece from the past for today’s home.

We were particularly taken with the proportions: soft gathered center, generous loops and exceptionally long, slender tails. Rather tha taken in Haddonfield, New Jersey by @peytonenglewood

The stars collided on this one! It’s practically magic!

My dear friend gave me these beautiful - and wearable - pumpkin head masks she created! I really wanted to do something incredibly special with them to help her get the word out there about them.

I love beautiful, fun, and botanical. Slightly quirky. So that’s the direction I went with this.

I already had my tree up since I take tons of pics with my ribbons and creations. I was playing around with styling the pumpkins and it occurred to me maybe one will sit on top of the tree!

My witch hat was nearby and that was a perfect addition. She was taking shape! Then my hubs was headed to the shore and said I might want to bring my hydrangeas inside because it was going to rain and he knew I wanted to decorate with them.

So I brought them in - and the rest was history.

I think she needs a name!!!

If you want to know how these pumpkin heads are made (right here in Haddonfield) I honestly do not know. But you can get one from @silvershoreco and she also has a video explaining her process.

The hydrangea witch is made on a 7.5 foot tree and took about 150 hydrangeas. At the top I used @regency.rib autumn sprays.

I’m thinking of making another one outside for the kids to enjoy but with a more weatherproof pumpkin situation.

Hey y’all! It’s been quite a year so far.

We made it through a crazy winter, through spring where we built garden beds and planted a big garden, our first summer between NJ and Charleston, and now to the ā€˜ber months.

My favorite time of year.

The tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers are ripe, the pumpkins did surprisingly well, and the corn stalks and hydrangeas are drying out for wreaths.

I’m still figuring out what Peyton Englewood is becoming. It’s still unfolding and probably will be for a long time. Initially I thought my focus would be only winter, but I love fall too much to skip creating for it entirely.

Im excited to see how it unfolds and am embracing every moment of September. Here’s to (in my opinion) the most wonderful time of the year!

Im also excited to share one of my favorite finds of 2026
- this amazing handmade hat from @evercrumblyandwitch. They create many beautiful styles! I’m obsessed!

Ok y’all! My little online shop is finally open!

As of today I have ribbons available both fall and winter - this post is a sampling of some of the ribbons in the shop.

Sumptuous velvets, beautiful plaids, old world botanicals. Some are available by the yard, others are available by the roll.

Over the weekend I’ll be posting more ribbons, ready to ship fall wreaths and florals, and lots of ribbon bows!

Next week we’re launching a new product we’ve been working on with an awesome Haddonfield small business @silvershoreco - I cannot wait to share with you!

As for today, we’re moving our middle child into college in NYC. Wish us luck! ā¤ļøšŸŽ€
