Back to the bronze, pink & blue!! ⚓️

The past week of serving as a gamma chi was truly nothing short of the best experience of my life. I feel like such a better friend, sister, and leader. I would choose to do this again in every lifetime, and I know it would bring me joy every time in a different way. I owe so much to this opportunity and I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am to have seen my beautiful pnms find their forever homes (and maybe to be entertained by mama kiki…) And to my wonderful partner Casey, you are the light in my life that people search for over years. happy mental health awareness month

i always knew from a very young age that i was sad, and i’ve always understood being different from everyone else that way. i always wondered what it was like to wake up happy, to wake up never nauseous and anxious about your day, or what it was like to not overthink and nitpick your entire life. i never will know what that’s like even now, but at least i understand that’s not the end for me

there’s so many things i have to keep going for, so many people, so many dreams and so many experiences i’ve yet to have. college has given me more than i could have ever dreamed when i was younger. i owe my growth with caring about my mental health to my friends, my colleagues, my professors, my sisters, my family and really just the person that complimented my hair today.

it feels so isolating sometimes to be struggling, like you want people to notice you’re bad before you’re good, or gone. but people care more than you think, and even if they don’t? you care. you care about yourself internally more than you let yourself realize. it takes time to even realize, but asking for help is the best thing you can ever do for yourself, and i love you all so very much. i will always be a champion in your absence and a friend always
