PAM 176G on a Frenchie and 004 PreA on a Gustav. The French ammo continues to be unbothered by the summer heat and humidity, though it has darkened quite nicely along the edges and developed some cool, tiny cracks in the mustard paint. On the other hand, the Gustav has become considerably darker over time and is much more prone to display marks and patina due to sweat, dirt, wear, etc. #pam176g #pam176 #pam004prea #pamprea4 #cordesleather by @pfcwintergreen

I had been hunting a PAM 176G for years, so when one came available recently I didn’t hesitate! The matte, lightweight titanium; the stark white, painted indices and perfectly symmetrical dial; the exhibition caseback with graffiti movement decoration… such a simple piece, yet so many awesome little details. As is tradition after a new purchase, I blame @cruxstraps and @cordesleather and their ridiculously enticing 176G photos over the years for my longstanding obsession 🙂 #panerai #pam176 #pam176g by @pfcwintergreen

It’s been ~9 weeks now and the @yuskstraps patina challenge is drawing to an end! I’ve thrown a lot at this strap over the past couple of weeks… from water and sweat to oils, conditioners, and a few other experiments 😁 All of which are now part of the strap’s story moving forward. You can see in the last picture how the strap looked at the beginning of the challenge, a nice reminder of just how much it’s changed in a relatively short period of time. Thank you Yusuke for putting on this challenge! That’s a wrap on week 7 of @yuskstraps patina challenge! This week saw a bit more darkening of the strap, and more softening as well (the strap is absurdly soft and pliable at this point, very nice!), likely due to the application of leather conditioner last week. 6 weeks of @yuskstraps patina challenge now in the books, with only a few weeks left to go! Highlights from week 4 of @yuskstraps patina challenge! Not much to report that hasn’t already been said… the leather continues to darken, soften, crease, pop, and shine. Though the changes from week to week have been subtle, the differences from the beginning of the challenge are quite noticeable and very cool!
