Yesterday, my grandma took her last breath on this earth.

Joann Askoff, Aga (Aug-Gah) to us grandkids, was one of a kind.

She is now reunited with our Papa, Oscar Askoff, in paradise. (Although he may be hiding from her in the pole barn he has up there. 😂)

She loved fiercely, served faithfully, and was incredibly loyal to everyone around her during her time here. She loved her church family & talked about them often.

“Mrs. A” also loved her time at @valorcollege & kept in contact with a lot of former students she served in the dorms on campus. She was so proud of what they accomplished during her time at WHBC.

Though she has left us, her wisdom & memories stay with us here on this world daily.

Thank you for all you did for us.

Love you, Aga. by @pfefferfeff

All summer long, I’ve been keeping this project close to the vest because it’s so EPIC.

Earlier this summer, our friends at @hacksawhockey asked me to help design a special jersey for the emo legends & proud Canadians, @silverstein.

We didn’t hesitate & got right to work.

Lots of thoughtful details & hard work from all of us went into the design & manufacturing for this incredible jersey to make it become reality.

Congratulations to @mkhrnc, @abarlich , & everyone at Hacksaw on this campaign & collaboration with the GOATs.

Head to HACKSAWHOCKEY.com & grab one NOW! You only have until September 4th get one of these!

So pumped for Howell, Michigan & @the5hl!

The new retail & workplace is now OPEN in Downtown Howell & the response this weekend was incredible for my buddy @charles.t.lamb’s new adventure.

This awesome shop is going to be a staple in the community & so excited to watch the great work that will come from it.

This shop is in the perfect location & it’s maybe 100 yards away for an insane city-owned ODR rink. Unreal spot for a hockey-inspired shop.

As a housewarming gift, I blessed the shop with this custom @614hockey piece made by @reclaimed_sticks about 6 years ago. It’s so perfect for the vision of what the 5ive Hole shop is about up north in Charlie’s hometown.

Congratulations Charlie & Jess! Can’t wait to hopefully do this here in Columbus soon!

This time last year, I was rock bottom.

I lost trust in people & questioned my value.

I didn’t know whether I wanted to keep going or quit everything altogether.

I wasn’t myself & it showed.

I called my mom, told her I wanted to end it all.

I felt used, worthless, & helpless.

——————————————————————————-

Fast forward a year later, I feel myself again.

God placed some great people in my life. They’ve all motivated me to stay on this path because they believed in me & my abilities.

I’ve learned to be firm & not let anyone or anything question my value & my character.

I’ve accepted that some people just don’t have the capacity to care about certain things or people as much as you do. It’s ok. They’re not on your journey & some people don’t share the same heart you have been given.

My business has been full tilt since last August at this time. Still some things to work out in business end, but I’m confident everything will work out and run efficiently soon.

In hindsight, believe in yourself & your abilities no matter the circumstances, God will take care of you through the storm.

I hope if you’re reading this post & you’re going through some stuff that this lets you know it’s going to work out.

My oldest nephew is now 12 years old. It’s crazy because it seems like yesterday we were playing knee hockey in the living room and now he’s getting ready for his first year of Valley football & middle school.

He’s such a great kid & incredibly creative. I’m very proud to be his uncle.

(*Shout out to my friends at the @columbuscrew Shop for helping me with his first jersey. Great bunch of humans working there at @scottsmiraclegrofield. *) taken in Newark, Ohio by @pfefferfeff

Thanks to my one of my favorite places in Central Ohio, @squeeks_bar_and_grill, for letting me do these special shirts for this historic holiday coming up this weekend.

Appreciate Squeek, Stacey, Nicole, & the rest of the crew for always being available for some late grub & making the best wings in the 614.

Come out to Pickerington & grab one of these beauties this week! 🇺🇸 🦅 taken in Squeek's Bar and Grill by @pfefferfeff

One of Fred’s routines daily is heading to the “Duke” to grab a cup of coffee & BS with whoever is working the counter that day.

It’s a bit of normalcy in what’s been a challenging season for him health-wise & our family. He’s taken the licks but is still persevering through it all.

Grateful we are all able to celebrate with him today.

Love this dude right here. This guy has been my ride-or-die since I started the fun mess called @614hockey 7 years ago, even though I’ve known him 14+ years.

He threw me a line when I was drowning last year. He showed me mercy when I didn’t deserve it. He’s stuck by me when I was about to give up.

Yesterday, I went up his hometown in Howell, Michigan to see his new shop & see the future of @the5hl. Can’t wait to drive up every now & then to chill when this spot opens up.

@charles.t.lamb, you’re an absolute legend. One day I hope to repay you for all you’ve done for my business & what you’ve done in my life. You are an incredible human & even better friend.

Love you long time, my dude.

Appreciate all the hospitality from these great humans & thank you for an EPIC weekend. taken in Columbus, Ohio by @pfefferfeff
