It’s nearly rankings update season, and we at PGH Oregon want to leave no stone unturned!

We have hundreds of players in our rankings already, but we’ve inevitably missed plenty of deserving athletes. Before the new rankings debut, we want to extend an invitation to any currently unranked players that feel they should be included.

We currently rank classes 2027 through 2030, but 2031/2032 kids are welcome to reach out. Please DM with as much info as possible! Players may be placed either on the watchlist or the numbered rankings.

We take pride in covering the uncovered and knowing as many names as possible! Help us help you! Thanks and good luck to all girls hoopers this summer and beyond 🏀 by @pghoregon

Southern Oregon has no shortage of basketball talent!

If there is a headliner on this list, it's @makayla_schroeder2028 🔥

The Henley standout was a First-Team All-State selection as a sophomore in 2025-26, and watching her play makes it easy to understand why. Schroeder brings something you simply don't see as much of in today's game: a true, highly skilled post game.

Makayla has an answer for just about everything on the block. Her footwork is impeccable, and she consistently uses counters to keep defenders guessing. She can keep a defender on her back, square up and finish, or pin and seal her defender before receiving a well-placed entry pass from her Henley teammates. Once she gets the ball inside, she is extremely difficult to stop.

What makes Schroeder even more difficult to defend is that she isn't limited to the paint. She runs the floor well in transition and can finish on the move, while also showing the ability to pull up for jumpers inside the paint. She is a relentless presence on the offensive glass and has the strength and skill to score even when two or three defenders collapse around her.

And if you foul her? That can be just as problematic. Schroeder is an aggressive scorer who gets to the free-throw line and consistently capitalizes on those opportunities.

Her production speaks for itself. As a freshman, she put up 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals against Yreka. In the state tournament, she dominated the first-round win over Scappoose with 27 points and 19 rebounds, then followed it up with 29 points in the third-place game victory over Baker.

Schroeder is clearly Henley's go-to scorer, but what stands out most is how many different ways she can hurt a defense. She has the footwork, touch, strength, rebounding ability and basketball instincts to control a game from the interior. In an era where traditional post play has become less common, Makayla Schroeder is a reminder of just how difficult an elite back-to-the-basket scorer can be to defend.

@kyokobeasley1 is a fast, athletic two-way guard who has the attributes to play at the next level. She definitely stood out at the Expo in Washington—not only as one of the Oregon players in attendance, but as a standout across the event as a whole. Kyoko plays high-level basketball year-round with Jason Kidd Select and Jefferson High School, and that experience shows in the way she approaches the game. She plays with confidence, pace and a clear understanding of how to create advantages.

Kyoko's speed in transition and ability to get downhill make her extremely difficult to guard. Once she gets a step on her defender, she does a great job finishing at the rim, but she is also a willing playmaker who keeps her head up and can find her bigs inside. Her handle and creativity make her especially dangerous because she has multiple ways to attack a defense. Kyoko can use her quickness to get by defenders, counter with a mid-range pull-up or step outside and knock down shots from deep. She is a crafty offensive player who keeps defenders guessing and has the skill set to score at all three levels.

Kyoko is definitely a player to watch as she continues to develop and increase her physical presence on the court. Her combination of athleticism, speed, ball-handling, court vision and three-level scoring gives her a tremendous foundation, and I am looking forward to following her development throughout the upcoming high school and AAU seasons. She is one of the Oregon players from the Expo Showcase who really caught my attention, and I believe she has plenty of room to continue growing her game.

WA Freshman Showcase Team 2 Evals

@adriana.gray11 is a versatile two-way player whose impact goes well beyond what shows up in the box score. What makes her especially intriguing is her ability to play multiple positions because of her size, skill and versatility. Adriana is essentially a tall combo guard who can score in a variety of ways. She is effective without the ball, setting strong, purposeful screens, rolling hard to the basket and finding space around the rim, but she can also face up, put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. For a player her size, her ability to get downhill off the dribble is particularly impressive and creates a difficult matchup for defenders.

Adriana also has the ability to post up, use her physicality inside and knock down shots from the outside, giving her multiple ways to attack a defense. She does an excellent job using her body to create space and is a strong rebounder who can generate second-chance opportunities. Defensively, her size and strength allow her to take on taller players while still having the mobility to defend multiple positions. She also does a great job blocking shots and using her length and timing to protect the basket. Her physicality makes her difficult to deal with on both ends of the floor.

Adriana's combination of size, skill, athleticism and versatility makes her a unique matchup. Her ability to handle the ball, get downhill, post up, shoot from the outside, rebound and protect the rim gives her the versatility to play multiple positions and makes her a particularly intriguing player to watch in the 2030 class.

Millie Lathen is poised under pressure, scoring 20 a night and shooting in the neighborhood of 60% from the field as the primary offensive option last season at Grants Pass. That season also saw her break the Lady Cavers’ single-game scoring record with a 37-point outburst. She runs the fast break and creates for herself and her teammates while also having the length and strength of a bruising forward. Her skillset is made for Division I, and she has recently picked up offers from UNLV, Sacramento State and Saint Mary’s. Portland-area prospects often get the most attention around here, but this budding superstar from the south deserves much more love.

Ryan Oppenheimer (@ryanoppsmic) highlights five juniors climbing up the rankings:

Millie Lathen, Grants Pass
Jasa Lindsey, Lincoln
Sofia Rodriguez, Hermiston
Isira Jablonski, Grant
Hayden Decker, Crook County

Mila Rose (@mimiolivia30) is a tenacious combo guard who relishes the opportunity to compete, and she made the most of it at the Washington Freshman Showcase in Auburn. She showcased her quick first step, driving left on a defender all the way to the rack for two points. She also had a sequence where she blocked a shot emphatically, rebounded the ball, and immediately threw a pass ahead on the fast break. She grabbed rebounds over bigs, and she also rebounded her own missed three and laid it back in. Despite her fast-paced game, she does not have tunnel vision — on a drive, she dumped it off to the big before relocating to the corner and receiving the ball back for a wide-open jumper, which she hit. She does all the little things that will help her get on the floor quickly on a stacked Tualatin team that includes fellow freshmen Taylor Nash and Kya McCrae.

Ryan Oppenheimer (@ryanoppsmic) wrote about the players who represented Oregon in the @pghwashington Freshman Showcase last Saturday. Keep an eye on these three heading into high school season:

Mila Rose, Tualatin
Ellen White, Seaside (@ellenwhitebasketball)
Jaydin Holmes, Ashland (@jaydhoops)

Excited to announce I’m attending my first @pghoregon showcase event: the Washington Expo on Sep 6 at Fieldhouse USA in Auburn, WA! Lots of c/o ‘27-‘29 talent from the PNW will team up and compete in front of our scouts for an action-packed day in the gym. If you want to get written about and noticed, this is the event for you.

I hope to see as many Oregon players there as possible! Show those Washingtonians we can ball too! The link to sign up will be in my bio.

Savannah Dahl is one of the purest shooters in the state, and she showed it during her summer outside the state. She competed with @trugame_select_nw out of Alaska, averaging 18.2 points per contest, and was rewarded with an offer from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She closed out her summer by making the second-team all-Adidas 3SSB Classic Bracket in South Carolina. Dahl’s movement shooting stands out among her other skills — she can move off the ball, curl off of screens and launch threes at crazy angles. She is also a capable self-creator and can run her team’s offense when needed. The 2025-26 Clackamas Cavaliers were fairly successful during what was supposed to be a transitional season. Having a healthy Dahl gives them a solid chance to return to the Chiles Center.

Ryan Oppenheimer (@ryanoppsmic) wrote about five seniors who have risen in the recently updated rankings:

Savannah Dahl, Clackamas
Clarissa Shurts, Banks
Annaleise Brown, Philomath
Talia Tyner, Marist Catholic
Jada Eatmon, Putnam
