Ich glaube bei keiner anderen Angelei liegt Freude und Frust so nah beieinander wie beim Tuna spinning. Wir haben 10 Tage gekämpft mit Wind und Wellen und die Fische machten es uns alles andere als leicht. Am letzten Tag hat es dann richtig Boom gemacht und wir hatten in wenigen Stunden 13 Tuna Kontakte. 4000km auf dem Tacho und 1000km mit dem Boot haben sich dann doch noch ausgezahlt und wir wurden reichlich belohnt.
I do not think there's any other fishing where joy and frustration are as close to each other as in Tuna spinning. We fought for 10 days with wind and waves and the fish did not make it easy for us. Personal Best
Am Wochenende ging es wie so oft nach Holland, dieses Mal hat unser Kumpel @enricodiventura uns auf sein neues @crestlinerboatseurope eingeladen. Nach einer sehr kurzen Nacht ging es früh am Morgen trotz Dauerregen aufs Wasser. Was die beste Entscheidung war, denn jetzt sollte sich mein langjähriger Traum endlich erfüllen. Ich fischte im glasklaren Wasser eine große Krautkante ab. Mein Köder war keine 3m mehr vom Boot weg da geschah es, zu schnell um es eigentlich zu realisieren. Etwas großes schoss aus dem Kraut hervor und packte sich meinen jerk bait, der von jetzt auf gleich komplett in einer Riesen Fresse verschwand. Nach einem kurzen aber für mich total nervenzerreißenden Drill konnte Enrico den Fisch sicher landen. Ein Blick in den Kescher und ich wusste sofort dieser Hecht ist mein neuer PB und mein Einzug in den 120 Club. Voller Freude, Adrenalin und weichen Beinen fing ich an zu schreien und mich einfach nur übertrieben zu freuen. Währenddessen der Fisch schonend im Kescher lag baute Martin die Kamera auf.Ich hob den Fisch ins Boot, legte ihn auf das Messboard und das ist er nun mein neuer PERSONAL BEST 125,6 und 14,9kg !!! Monster Spanish Mackerel alert ‼️
Still over the moon about this fish — 1.54 m and 26 kg.
I reckon this will be my PB for a while, but you never know…
And by the way, huge thanks to my mate @roudy57 for helping me get this absolute unit into the boat… 😂 The last pic says it all haha!

Big smiles and heavy 120cm in my arms at the Outer Great Barrier Reef. 🎣
Funny how life can change. A little over two years ago, I was sitting on my couch in Cologne, watching videos of people fishing the Great Barrier Reef.
Now I’m living that movie. 🌊
