“Chasing Herself” is for all those women who have no hero to look up to, so they look ahead instead, at themselves, five years from now.

For me, the light in this painting is her. That future version of herself she keeps moving towards, even when she hasn’t figured out the whole way yet.

Her own hero. And she is chasing herself! ✨

I’ve always painted flowers in pinks, reds, oranges, blues

So choosing a white lily felt a little scary.

Because white looks simple… but it really isn’t.
It has softness, shadows, warmth, depth !

But I still wanted to try.

So here it is, work in progress of this beautiful white lily 🤍

There’s something so special about lilies to me.
They’re big, graceful, quiet and still impossible to ignore.

They don’t need loud colours to stand out.

They shine all on their own.

And maybe that’s what I loved most while painting this one. 🤍 taken in Hoofddorp, Netherlands by @phalkjindalart

There are so many reasons I look forward to varnishing a painting ✨

1. It brings the colours alive and adds that beautiful shine.
2. It protects the painting.
3. And the smell… I absolutely love the smell of varnish. 😂

Finally, this one is varnished and ready to be hand-delivered to Germany. 🇩🇪

This painting was inspired by a real photograph taken by a dear colleague during one of her morning runs in Greece. There was something about that moment, the light, the movement, the feeling of running towards something, that stayed with me.

I’m calling this one “Chasing Herself.” 💙

I especially like the title because it makes the painting feel like more than just a Greek landscape. It gives it a little story. taken in Hoofddorp, Netherlands by @phalkjindalart

Presenting - “Between Two Homes”

I paint flowers not just because they are beautiful, but because they remind me that taking up space can be the most natural thing in the world.

A tulip never wonders if it’s too bright…
Too colourful…
Too much….

It simply blooms….

Maybe that’s why I’ve always loved them.

Growing up in India, tulip fields belonged to Bollywood. Endless colours, songs, and stories. They felt like places that existed somewhere between dreams and reality.

I never imagined I’d one day call the country behind those songs my home.

Now, I find myself walking past tulip fields, and every time, a quiet voice inside me whispers..

“I really live here.”

This painting is a little conversation between those two versions of me.

The girl who knew tulips through cinema.

And the woman who now stops to admire them on her walk home.

Maybe that’s why this flower refused to stay quiet.

It had to be bold.

Because sometimes, dreams don’t arrive with fireworks.

Sometimes, they quietly become your everyday…..

One of my favourite parts of painting flowers is noticing how much is actually happening in them. The colors are never just pink or red or white. There’s warmth, shadow, softness, depth… tiny details everywhere.

Every petal has so many shifts in color once you really stop and observe it closely.

I think that’s what I enjoy the most, slowing down enough to notice all those little things and then trying to bring them onto canvas in my own way…. taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @phalkjindalart

I keep coming back to flowers.

On my canvas, in my home, on my terrace…
they just fit into my life so easily.

I like how they’re simple, but still feel special.
Soft, a little messy, never perfect but always beautiful.

Painting them feels calm.
Like I can just slow down for a bit and enjoy the process.

Maybe that’s why I don’t get tired of them 🌸 by @phalkjindalart
