Death Metal from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. “Mosquito” Demo available on Bandcamp and cassette.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🦟 PREPARE TO GET STUNG BANDCAMP FRIDAY APRIL 5! 🩸 it’s been a quiet start to the year here @ The Freezer, but next month a SWARM is coming from the bayou to draw your blood!! As you know by now, I scour the coldest corners of the web to find emerging bands + present them to you w/ unique packaging + presentation.

So w/out further ado, allow me to introduce my first release of 2024 from @phalliclaceration !!

PHALLIC LACERATION “Mosquito” [FSI-072] - Formed early 2022 by a group of friends in + around the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area who played in various metal + hardcore bands together, Phallic Laceration bleeds influences from the modern
revival of old school death metal, beatdown hardcore, slam, mid-90’s Nü Metal + noise adjacent filth.

“Mosquito” is their first demo, tracked at a now-defunct DIY venue in Baton Rouge + originally released digitally this past September. Raw, dirty + disgusting just the way I like it. I’ve been sitting on this one for a bit — my release schedule was jam-packed last year — so I’m stoked to finally put this out.

As a throwback to the popular “cassingle” format of the 90’s, “Mosquito” is 3 tracks on solid black cassette w/ old school Memorex-style adhesive label, housed in a shrink-wrapped slipcase featuring artwork by @rustedwinds. No J-card, no plastic case — all killer, no filler.

Stream the full demo / name your price digital purchase now @ band link in bio. Shirts also avail from band directly. Cassettes go live on FSI Bandcamp Friday April 5. Short pre-order, tapes will ship late April / early May.

This is just the beginning, as Phallic is in the process of gearing up to pierce your eardrums w/ more audible violence . . .

See you next month!

⚠️ BIG SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT! ⚠️
Friday, December 6th @hirs666 (The Hirs Collective) formally know as simply +HIRS+, a queer, punk musical collective from Philadelphia will be stopping by Brickyard South in the midst of their Full Body Experiment Part lV Tour joined by none other than local titans @christworm_band and @phalliclaceration. The show starts at 8pm, Doors at 7pm. $15 cover. 21 or older. This is going to be one hell of a show. Go check out these bands on Spotify. Like’em, follow’em, DM them directly and ask how Glenn is doing, and when they seem confused and say, “I think you’re thinking of someone else…” Just commit. Commit to the bit. Oh, they know Glenn alright… and you’re concerned about his well-being. They have the answers you’re looking for. #freeglenn

❄️ FSI-072 RELEASE UPDATE ❄️ the Phallic Laceration demo drop this Friday now includes mini-zine! I really wanted this to be a short pre-order + wasn’t sure if I would have time to do a zine, but since this is the band’s first demo + first release w/ Frozen Screams, I felt a zine + interview would be a nice introduction. My goal was to interview any new bands on the label with a zine companion to the tape, so I’m gonna try to stick to it!! . . . so this Bandcamp Friday April 5th @ 10am EST you can grab the “cassingle” demo (3 songs) + zine + stickers. Release will ship ASAP in early May. You can stream the demo in full on FSI Bandcamp right now at 🔗 in bio. See ya on Friday! 🦟❄️ by @phalliclaceration
