a baddie by da wata - a love note to self

-Wow, for what feels like the first time in nearly a decade, I’m excited to age…Excited to continue on this journey of life.

24 feels like a rebirth; 24 feels like access to joy, access to embrace my existence again, stepping into my Venus-ruled year with actionable steps that will improve the wellness of not only my existence but the spirits that live inside me.

A Venus-ruled year will amplify my connection to wealth building, beauty, harmony & radiance.

I believe that this Venus proficiency year will exalt the themes of Venus for me, a gentle way of drawing in the finer things of life.

24 will give me new ways to embrace the enchanting energy of venus allowing me to find balance and joy in me & others.

In this experience, the first 23 years almost felt like some sense of purgatory; correction: two 12-year cycles of healing are coming to a head.

The past 23 years have really taught me how to cope, paint a face, paint a picture of my life; somehow 24 feels like a fresh canvas.

All the energy I put into being stoic, hiding my emotions, hiding myself, only convinced me that my story, perspective, is not only insightful but should be given a starting chance.

It’s okay to remove the veil, be seen, loved, worshipped, praised, acknowledged, supported, coached, and nurtured.

In this experience, the first 23 years almost felt like some sense of purgatory; correction: two 12-year cycles of healing are coming to a head.

Unlearning trauma responses, shadow work, examining what has helped me along the way, and having the accountability to discuss and highlight what does not serve me.

The discernment and discipline to release what has not given me good fortune.

24 feels like applied learning: wealth building, system creating, community organizing, nurturing to a higher level of care, sharpening my attention to detail, expressing my radiance, embracing purity, exercising graciousness, deepening my patience, putting more of it into practice, entering flow state with multiplicities of these with the perception not to confuse one for two.

my dear sweet friend…where do i even start ? i miss you more and more each day , and pray for your safety as you are on this solo journey & period of renewal. your absence has really highlighted the ways you brought love into my life this man knew no stranger & showed love to anything with a heart. a true friend who opened the door for me to come into his life in every way imaginable. nothing was off limits with him i thankyou for your kind and generous masculinity that brought nothing but bliss upon my days, our travels, conversations & still moments we shared together let me know we are kindred companions and i patiently await the chance we have to enjoy each other’s company again. my dearest friend i pray this summer breathes life anew into you as you triumph over the chaos now im crying in these lashes yk how i get… by @pharaohbae
