💜 Ranking my favourite MPharm topics so far… 👀💊

After nearly 4 years of pharmacy, I’ve definitely realised there are some topics I could learn about ALL day… and others I’d happily never revise again 😭

🧠 1. Neurotransmission — easily my favourite! I find the brain and how medicines can affect mood, behaviour and movement SO interesting. Definitely an area I’d love to pursue in my future career.

🦋 2. Endocrine — hormones just make sense to me 😂 Once everything starts linking together, it’s actually so satisfying.

❤️ 3. Cardiovascular — so clinically relevant and I actually enjoyed learning all the different drug classes.

🫃 4. Gastrointestinal — interesting, practical and comes up everywhere in pharmacy.

🫁 5. Respiratory, Infection & Disease — sorry 😭 I just could NOT get into this one. So many inhalers, antimicrobials and guidelines to remember… my brain said no.

Obviously this is completely based on my experience — I know some of you will have respiratory at #1 😂

💊 5 drug pairs pharmacy students ALWAYS seem to mix up… 👀

ACE inhibitors or ARBs? Salbutamol or salmeterol? Warfarin or DOACs?

They can seem similar at first, but knowing the mechanism, main uses, side effects and KEY difference makes them so much easier to remember — especially when exam season hits 📚💜
